Cleaning up the remains of a girl that was declared missing that they were sent to help find wasn't how Jax wanted to spend her day. Jax could have just hung out at the school, maybe IM Annabeth to rant about what happened when she and the others with her were confronted by Connor and Dana's group. But nope. She chose this. Well, not technically this. She didn't know she would have to deal with a girl puking everything out of her body until she was just skin and hair on the ground. If Jax had known this would happen, she didn't know if she would still come out here to help.

What even happened to Dana? Where was Sarah? Jax wasn't holding out hope for the other girl if this was Dana's fate. The same thing had probably happened to her. Jax tried not to throw up while she helped Hope and Lizzie clean up. MG was sitting on the back of the bus trying to get the goo off of his shoe with a ripped page of a comic book. Kaleb was just standing behind them as he watched.

Kaleb stared at the remains with a disgusted expression, "Nasty."

Hearing him say this caused Jax to stop what she was doing, which was using one of those scrubbing mops to clean the asphalt. She turned to him with a hand on her hip as she narrowed her eyes at him, "Yeah, well, you're not the one cleaning up so you can't say anything." The boy had just been standing there, watching them the whole time. It was exactly like when they were doing community service.

Instead of acknowledging what Jax had said, Kaleb completely ignored her. He chose to turn the conversation back to him, "Yeah, so, um... I'm out of here. But, little piece of advice? Landon could be in there right now, eating fools," Kaleb looked at each of them. There was a moment of silence until he said, "So... I'll holla." Kaleb walked away from the group.

The girls all roll their eyes at Kaleb. Jax narrowed her eyes at his back as he got farther and farther away from them, "Says he wants to come help and, as always, does nothing," Jax shrugged, "Why am I not surprised?"

"Come on, guys," Hope sighed after MG had turned away from her, avoiding her gaze. He just went back to cleaning the goo off of his shoe. "If it's not Landon, then what else could it be?" Jax didn't have a good answer. She didn't believe that it was Landon... But she also didn't know what could have caused this. They were all blaming Landon just because it was easier to do so. Then they wouldn't have to do all of the work to figure out what it actually is... They really were terrible people.

All of a sudden, MG stopped cleaning his shoe with the comic book page. He frowned at the page with a furrowed brow. It was like he was thinking about something. MG unraveled the page and he looked like he had just made a breakthrough, "Spider," Hope, Lizzie, and Jax turned their attention to him. They all looked skeptical at his idea. "A big spider! An Arachne, if you want to get specific."
