The group had helped Dana, with much denial on the girl's part, to sit at the picnic tables nearby. The picnic tables were in the sun which made Dana look even worse than she did in the shade. She looked absolutely terrible. By the blood on her neck, it was obvious she had been attacked by a vampire. The girl was shaky and her eyes were barely open as she spoke to the group. She looked like she was either high or just exhausted. Her eyes were also red-rimmed like she had been crying.

After asking Dana what happened, she started acting hostile again, "We were on the way to graffiti that mill at your school. It was a harmless prank."

"Yeah, harmless the first few times," Jax cut in. "Now it's just getting excessive."

An eye roll was Jax's only response from Dana. Dana pretty much just ignored what she said after that and continued with her story, "I got snatched. Next thing I remember, I woke up in a ditch," Dana took a deep breath and turned her attention to Lizzie. She was scowling at the blonde, "So, enjoy it while you can, Lizzie. I'm sure I look like crap," Dana reached up to scratch the back of her neck when she touched something on her neck. From what Jax saw, it looked terrible. The bite from before was now swollen and horribly bruised. Dana started to freak out after touching it, "Oh, my God! What is that?" Dana looked to the others for answers.

"It's..," Hope trailed off. Dana stared at Hope with desperation in her eyes. Like she was hoping for the best but Jax knew that that wasn't going to happen. Hope looked around at the rest of the group, wishing they would jump in already, "Someone help me out here..."

Jax walked over to Hope's side and whispered to her, "How are we supposed to explain that? Say she tripped and fell on some rocks?" There was absolutely no good explanation for Jax to think of. One look in the mirror would be all it took for Dana to know that they were lying with any reasoning they gave her.

Thankfully, someone came to the rescue. This person happened to be Lizzie so Jax waited for the hostility to come, "It's... The mother of all hickeys. You're fine, Dana. You're just a-a little slutty." Lizzie shrugged, looking a little panicked after trying to come up with an excuse on the spot like that.

As expected, Dana was offended by what Lizzie had said. She scoffed with wide eyes. She suddenly froze like she had realized something, "I don't even like any of you. I should be talking to the cops." Dana stood up from her seat on the picnic table bench.

"And yet, you're still sitting here talking to us." Jax gestured to her, showing that she hadn't even moved to walk away from them. It was like Dana realized that Jax was right. So she took this as her opportunity to leave and talk with someone else besides them.
