"I must say, you are really good!" Ayaan commented as he missed another serve of mine and I chuckled. "I know" I said proudly and he raised an eyebrow at me. "Cocky much?" He asked with a smirk. "Well is that a bad thing? You yourself said I'm really good and I think so too" I said with a shrug and a cheeky smile to which he chuckled while nodding. "Of course it's not. I've just not seen you like this. Cut me some slack if I'm surprised by the sudden cockiness. You tend to be too humble all the time but this combination is good" He said raising his hands in defence and I chuckled again. " I don't know.. is it that surprising?" I wondered out loud."Are you kidding me? It's either obnoxiously cockiness for no reason or only useless humbleness out there, the later is rare though. No one is humble and down to earth nowadays" He ridiculed and I nodded in acknowledgement of what he said. "And you.. lot of good qualities in one person but I guess I'll know when I see the evil side" He sniggered and I rolled my eyes. He was about to say something when his phone rang and he attend the call through his watch. "Where are you and have you seen Amyra? I heard Dhrithi's worried voice through his watch's speakers and shook my head remembering how hard it was for me to convince her that she should go Bunjee Jumping without me. "She's with me. When are you guys getting back?" He asked back, the coolness he had seconds before gone as he spoke with slight seriousness. He's a really strange guy. "When are we getting back? Where the hell are you two? It's three already. We came back hours ago. That stupid girl left her phone in the room and Harsh just came back from his adventurous trip with a long cut on his leg and told me that you might know where she is" She said slightly angry and the goofy smile I had hearing her call me stupid was now replaced by by worry as I heard Harsh got cut. He's one careless guy from how much I've known him. "We'll be really late if we don't leave in an hour or so" She continued when Ayaan just hummed to her last statement. "Okay we'll come back in five minutes" He said and waited for her to hang up. He looked at me and gave a slight nod and I took it as my cue to pack things and leave. He collected the racquets ad cork from me and I followed him as we moved to the caretakers counter. Once returning everything we moved towards our rooms down the hallway only to be met by everyone else standing in front of our rooms with angry faces. "Are you serious? You were playing badminton for four hours? Hannah asked in disbelief. "We didn't realise the time. It was great fun!" I exclaimed, slightly jumping up in excitement thinking about playing badminton. I composed myself when my eyes landed on the man standing beside me who looked at me as if I've grown horns and everyone snickered probably seeing my behaviour. Way to make a fool out of yourself Amyra! "Harsh! Your leg is still bleeding" I exclaimed when my eye landed on the blood dripping down his calf and he just shrugged. "Are you crazy? Come, I'll get some disinfectant.. I think I saw a first aid box in the drawer" I Said as I pulled a whining harsh, followed by Kevin and Avinash who helped me get him inside the room.
I was struggling with my luggage as my legs and hands ached like hell from playing that long hardcore game after a long time. I was stumbling around with my bags as I dragged them to the entrance when all of a sudden the bags were snatched from me. I looked up to watch Ayaan holding my bags effortlessly along with his and before I could say anything, a tall guy almost ran towards us. "Hey Guys!" He exclaimed addressing everyone as they gathered around at the entrance, ready to leave. "Hey! Ravi! Man!" The others too exclaimed as the guys exchanged manly hugs. The way Ayaan hugged Ravi was awkward and funny to watch as his hands were full of bags. "You got married and didn't even tell me?! What the heck?" Ravi complained once they pulled apart. I felt shocked and disappointed that even I was not informed that he got married. After all we have been sort of friends for more than a month. I noticed everyone looking at me and soon it dawned on me. "No, No! She's not my wife. Just a friend of ours, Amyra. I was just helping her with the bags" Ayaan corrected and I slowly snatched a bag from his hold to prove the point making Ayaan question my sanity. "Oh I am so sorry Amyra. You guys looked like... Ha forget it. I'm so sorry guys I couldn't make it any earlier. You know when you are running a family business, you have to show up at your dumb relative's anniversary" He joked and everyone laughed got engaged in different conversations with Ravi.
