"You played so good! Ew and you smell so bad" I exclaimed as Abhi came over and hung his hand over my shoulder, earning a glare and few punches from him. "You really don't have any problem with your friends seeing you kind of hugging me?" I asked him even though I'm not really surprised. "I don't care. I've already established that I'm a cool guy so I don't think this will do any damage to my image. Besides, I wanna let them know not to mess with my sister" He said as he pretended to be a macho and I bursted out laughing. "Are you for real? Who here is going to hit on me? All we have here are a bunch of teenage boys" I ridiculed making him frown. "First of all we are not! Most of the guys here are at least twenty one well except for me, Zayaan and Sham. And secondly, have you seen yourself? You look younger than me" He chortled and I looked at him with my mouth wide open. "Haw! Says who? I definitely look older than you" I argued. "Well I'm pretty sure those guys over there..they are my seniors..Yeah, they might have definitely felt the same in order to want to hit on you" He stated pointing at the bunch of boys standing by the steps. "What? I'm older than them!" I exclaimed and he snickered cupping his mouth with his hand. I really don't look like a teenager now do I? "So what's you plan for tomorrow?" He asked. " I have this party at work so yeah and Abhi, I found this- I mean Ayaan found this place for me. So I'll be moving in today since tomorrow would be a busy day and then I wouldn't have to wait till weekend. I've trouble Hannah and Kevin enough" I informed him as I missed to do so when I told mom of my decision. "Wow! Thats really nice of Ayaan bhai. Is it near your office?" He asked as we started walking towards Zayaan's car. "it's in the same flat as Zayaan's. On the third floor" I informed him. "What? Wow! That's even cooler so Zay and I will be like neighbours" He exclaimed. "Sorry, I misplaced my Jersey" Zayaan said as he hopped towards us. "You played well Zayaan!" I congratulated him and he gave me a huge smile. "So where should we drop you?" Zayaan asked. "Oh no, it's okay you guys carry on. I need to get few stuff done. Wait, no. I'll join you guys. I need to meet Mr Raichand at the flat" I informed him. "Oh! Yeah, I heard bhai telling Ammi about you moving in today. We'll come and help you set up" He offered as we got into the car and I smiled in agreement. He's such a sweet boy just like Abhi. 'Alhamdhulillah for giving Abhi such a good friend'
"You can keep the orginal agreement and I'll take the copy, I don't think there's any other formalities. I trust Ayaan and you too look like a decent child. Just let me know if you need any help" Mr Raichand said smiling as he handed over the key soon after which he left. "Wow Di! this place is awesome. Wait how much are you going to pay for this?" Abhi asked worried. "Ten Thousand" I replied feeling guilty. "What? Ten thousand? No way! That seems really cheap. I mean look at this place!" He exclaimed. "I know right even I thought the same but I still feel bad spending so much money just for me" I said. "Come On Di, Alhamdhulillah, you are in a good position to afford this. But this really does seem the best choice. You have your friends around here and this flat is super safe with security and all. Think about Ammi, she'll feel thousand times better knowing you live near aunty Zeenath. She's good friends with her.. I mean Zayaan's mother" He explained and I nodded in agreement, feeling slightly surprised at his talks. My baby brother is getting mature. "Moreover just look at this place! In the centre of the city, such luxurious flat..this cheap! Ayaan bhai must have pulled some string. Look a play station would look awesome by that corner" He commented looking around with goggly eyes. Never mind! I take my words back.
"I'm hungry!" Abhi howled as he dragged the next couch. It's night and so far we've cleaned up the entire place. Got my stuff in place and just got done with arranging the furnitures that were fully covered with plastic wrappers earlier. Dhrithi is busy taking her sister to the hospital. "Well, I'm yet to get stuff for kitchen so we would have to order something" I said wiping sweat off my forehead. "Are you kidding me? Ammi must have a feast going on upstairs by now. You are having dinner at our place" Zayaan exclaimed looking slightly hurt. "Oh no! I didn't know-" I Was interrupted when my phone started ringing. "Hello?" I answered when I saw it was Ammi. "All settled in beta?" She enquired. "Yeah Ammi, all that's left is to get some bathroom supplies, bedsheets, carpets and stuff for kitchen. I'm thinking about setting up a small garden in the first balcony I showed you" I informed her referring to the video call we had earlier. "You can garden later. Tell me now, did you two eat? And keep the documents safe okay?" She asked. "Ammi this is the third time you have told me that since the signing of the agreement and apparently Zayaan's mother have invited us over for dinner so we'll have food from there" I informed her looking at the boys laughing at something on Abhi's phone. "That's really nice of Zeenath. I'm really thankful to Allah for how things turned out. Though I didn't mention it earlier, I was a little panicked about these guy friends you have. Nothing personal beta, it's just I don't trust people. I'm sure you know of the troubles I had gone through regarding this ugly face of the friends we trust. But when I came to know this Ayaan guy you had mentioned was Zeentha's son, I feel relived. If there is anything and you can't reach me, go to her. Though I've know her only for two years, I know enough to know that she a good woman and her family is really nice" Ammi explained. We spoke for some more time about our agreement about me calling her daily and about sending back Abhi tomorrow before I leave for the party. I feel less guilty and more relived that Ammi is not that worried any more.
