...like the craters on the moon

AN:// BRO FORGIVE ME GUYS I PUBLISHED THIS DAYS AGO BUT MY WIFI SUCKSSS

the clouds filled the sky and the faint sound of rain hitting the window ripped the blonde out of her sleep.

her desk still covered with empty cups and old to do lists. her dresser piled with neglected books and graded papers. her closet door was barely open, clothes seeping out from her closet like a monster was slipping free. she was alone at her house just as always.

she grabbed an umbrella before she started her walk, though by now it was only sprinkling. the birds danced above her and the sun was already awake, peaking through the clouds.

she was excited to see her friends, a little less excited about school itself. as she came closer to the building, she was met with the familiar height.

"good morning," a smile so bright. through the glass door, they could see sasha hurrying to greet them. ymir opened the door for her and the three walked up the steep stairs.

"morning," her voice was rough. "it's nice out, isn't it?"

a yawn escaped. freckles littered her nose because of the change of weather. but other than that, sasha hadn't changed much at all.

"feels like spring..." historia gazed at the glass, dew drops clung to the windows and the slight wind let them dance.

the bell rang and sasha swiftly had to part, they waved as they continued a few halls down.

routinely, ymir would walk historia to class. just like that day. however, this time she felt a little extra tired, hence her lack of words.

"sorry, if i'm being quiet." she let her fingers lace through the other's, a small compensation for her silence.

"it's ok, we don't have to talk," historia let a smile paint her face as she reiterated the words once foreign to her. the words ymir had taught her.

so the two walked together to historia's class, no words were needed. as long as it took for them to befriend each other, they just as quickly treated the other as if they'd never not known each other at all.

to understand someone is not to know them through and through. to know someone is not to run out of words to say. it is rather the continuous act and commitment to their growth. if we are ever changing, to love someone is simply to get to know them over and over and over again.

isn't that what is means to know someone so well?
