It was another busy day in Ruby's bookshop cafe. It was fairly hectic as more customers flocked to her establishment for her famous cakes and beverages. Her waitresses Angela, Layla, Nana, and Cat were buzzing around nonstop as the orders kept coming and coming while the cooks and bakers trip over themselves just to prepare the orders of the customers.

Orchid Ruby Cattleya is a 26-year-old woman who has established herself fairly well for her age. She is self-employed, having several businesses at her young age, a decent circle of friends, but the same cannot be true with her love life. She's had numerous relationships that ended downhill for certain reasons: cheating, lack of time, addiction, abusiveness, possessiveness, and more. She began wondering if love is really for her and if the price of her success is her failure in love then, where does her true happiness lie?

A cup of steaming cocoa was placed in front of her. She looked up at the person that served her and saw her cute little sister, Cat Ruby smiling worriedly at her. Cat gestured if she was okay because of the sad look on her face.

"I'm okay, just brooding." she smiled trying to reassure her. Cat is very protective of her sisters. She is the most maternal among the five of them and even though she was mute, she doesn't have any difficulty in expressing her love and support to the people around her. Cat is one of the reasons why her cafe is so famous. Her kindness, warmth, and grace attract people more than her cute appearance. Cat always dons a feline-like beauty in a cute maid outfit which, in Orchid's opinion, highlights her charms and radiance.

"Cat, can I have another coffee?" Martis called out while waving for the girl. Cat smiled and placed a kiss on her sister's cheek before waving to Guinevere and heading out to get the customer's order.

Ruby heaved a sigh as she finished decorating the cake she just made. Her best friend Guinevere was eating some confectionery in front of her while telling her some gossip. It was an intriguing tale about how she suspects that Alucard and Granger are in a romantic gay relationship since they are fairly close friends who sometimes share intimate gestures. Ruby only giggled at her friend's theory since both males had been her boyfriend once upon a time.

Among the two, Granger was the more memorable one since he was surprisingly tender and kind despite his cold and detached countenance. Anyways, they broke up for certain reasons such as lack of time for each other and Ruby took it gracefully. Which is to say crying while eating tons of ice cream and making herself fat for two weeks before deciding that she's too beautiful to wilt and so instead of grieving she allocated all her time to her business. They're friends now again but still, there's some tension between them sometimes.

"Ruby, he's here again." Guinevere whispered to her as the bell pinged and a man with bright blue hair entered her cafe. Her eyes briefly met with his and she didn't miss the subtle smile that graced his lips when he saw her face. He took his usual spot by the dimly lit secluded area and opened his laptop before madly typing in it.

"I notice him glance your way before smiling." Guinevere said in a sing-song voice making her roll her eyes.

The blue-haired man, X-borg as he would like to be referred to, is a frequent patron of her cafe. They've had a few conversations but nothing too intimate and he never flirts with her so her friend's theory of him having a crush on her seems outlandish.

"I have flowers for miss, Orchid Ruby Cattleya." called out a delivery man as he stepped inside the cafe.

"Here." Ruby waved her hand to capture the male's attention.
