Zhask gazed down at a bright eyed creature that gazed up at him with great fascination. The little creature had a small stature that barely passed over his hips with thin arms and legs as well as a crimson gem shining on her chest. It was easy to tell that the specimen was a female since he'd seen her kind often when it comes to world domination. Also,a all gems are females apparently.

The creature blinked before a smile made its way to her lips. She suddenly engulfed him in a tight hug with her tiny body that actually proved to be much stronger than the product of his prejudice. She was crushing him and he could have snapped a bone if he hadn't pushed her away.

She waved her hand enthusiastically and beamed at him. "Oh sorry about that. Hello, I'm Ruby by the way. I'm from Pink Diamond's court and I serve as a guard. I was sent here by my Morganite to be a peace diplomat between our races and I hope that we can be best of friends." she introduced lending out a hand for a handshake.

Zhask did not accept her hand shake and only continued with his scrutiny of her character. Ruby patiently waited but he really didn't give her a hand shake making her smile slowly melt away before she retracted her hand. A sudden memory came over her regarding her mission and she instantly straightened her posture and saluted to him by forming a diamond shape with her arms and hands.

"Forgive me for being so informal, Lord Kastillian. May I know how should I address you?" she inquired formally as if she was someone different.

"Zhask will do." he answered.

"As you wish, my Zhask. Please give me your orders." Zhask scratched the back of his neck. He is used to giving orders and is a genius at using others like how he uses his spawns but it's really hard to look for a purpose for this tiny creature in his command. He doesn't even know what she can do. She said she was a guard but what does she really do as a guard? Watch over a door for thousands of years? What does he even feed her? Might be good to get a good demonstration of what she can do before he decides to dispose of her.

He summoned a spawn and made it attack the girl. "An intruder! My Zhask get behind me and I will protect you." She summoned a red curved weapon with an extremely sharp blade and jumped out as a beam was shot at her.

She successfully evaded every attempt to blow her head off but she can't get close to the spawn to attack. As expected.

The gem suddenly tackled him as a beam richocette against the glass and accidentally went to his direction. The gem really tried shielding his body with her smaller one, taking the beam to her spine just to protect him. She screamed in pain but endured the scorching burn on her back. She doesn't bleed. Also, her tiny chest is suffocating him. For being a stone second only to a diamond when it comes to hardness, she's surprisingly soft.

The gem pushed herself up and stared down at him with a worried face. "My Zhask are you all right?!" she asked in alarm, though her voice was weak due to her injuries.

"I'm well but you aren't. Maybe you should take a rest." is what he wanted to say but instead something else came out from his mouth. "Get off me."

"Right, apologies." She apologized pecking him on the cheek. "Don't worry. I'll handle this, I won't let the same thing that happened to her happen to you." She smiled sadly before picking herself up.

He notice her pick up a stone and spin her arm to build up momentum. The stone ignited and she threw it at his creature which hit it on its face. His spawn released a loud alien scream but before it can even release another beam in was already cut in half. The spawn fell dead on the floor with its green blood oozing upon the ship's floor.

The girl faced him with a serious expression losing all the enthusiastic qualities she held earlier. She cupped his cheek with great difficulty due to their height difference and smiled a sad one.

"I wasn't able to protect my Diamond from harm but I will make sure that I keep you safe till all the stars in the galaxy and beyond extinguish their flame. I am your loyal Ruby."

He placed his hand over hers and curved his lips to what should be a smile for him. "I accept your service. You may serve as part of my Forces."

"I'm sorry if I sleep for a while. I promise, I will reform quicker so that I can serve you again. While I'm out, please keep my gem safe." Ruby said weakly.

"What do you mean?" The gem suddenly burst into smoke, her cute tiny body disappeared into thin air leaving only her beautiful gem behind.

He held his Ruby against his chest and kissed it's luminous surface. On second thought it might be beneficial to keep her and make her help him in destroying the Land of Dawn. She might even prove to be a good company and since she's a female she might be able to help him with a few things that he needs to thoroughly research upon like the thing they call "sex" and reproduction.
