A beautiful girl with long blue hair styled in gigantic sausage-like pig tails walked inside a cavern lit by torchlight as a servant led her way. The cave walls are made of a dark blue stone and the path where she walked was polished and paved. The roof, however, have sharp fang-like stones protruding overhead which made it feel like she was walking inside a giant monster's maw. Though there is fear that the stones might fall over her head, she can't help but be amazed as well because the stalactites somehow sparkle as light danced through their surfaces. She directed her attention next to the walls where she saw images sculpted into the solid stone depicting battles and kings which impressed her due to their intricate designs and craftsmanship.

"Careful with your steps, my lady, this part is quite slippery." said the female servant leading her way.

They came across an exit from the tunnel which lead into a wide spacious chamber where a body of water can be found steaming with an enjoyable warmth that pleased her after walking a few minutes inside the cold cave tunnel. The water was not very deep but was sufficient for a good bath which she would very much like to help her calm her nerves and heal her aching back.

"My lady, my King Martis instructed me to help you into the special healing bath of our tribe. You may stay as long as you please, he said." informed the servant with a bowed head as if she was high royalty.

"Please, there is no need for formalities. I own no titles to be addressed as a lady. Edelweiss or Ruby will be sufficient." Ruby said smiling at the older girl.

"My rank is lower than yours still and you will no longer own no titles soon enough, my lady." answered the servant which confused the huntress. What does her words mean? thought Ruby. Before she can even voice her question, the servant placed a white gown on her arms and handed her a cup filled with an unknown substance.

Ruby asked what the medicine was for and the servant answered that it helps to avoid getting dizzy due to the bath. She accepted the concoction and drank it to show that she trust her, before handing her back the cup. The servant excused herself after that and said that she'd be waiting nearby if she needs anything. Ruby thanked her before walking near the water.

She placed the white gown on top of a clean stone and started removing her clothes one by one. Her shirt, skirt, and undergarments fell on the stone floor before she picked them up and folded them neatly, placing them near the white gown. She untied her long blue locks and allowed them to fall freely on her back. Being kept long in the said hairstyle made them wavey, making them look like the sea waves whenever she moves.

Her beautiful white vivacious body shivered as the cold air chilled her skin. She quickly dipped her feet into the streaming water to check if it was too hot but discovered that it was sufficiently warm and not scalding like she imagined it to be, so without further a do, she submerged her whole body into the pleasing water.

She felt the warmth enveloping her body like an embrace and sighed contentedly as the heat seeped into her tired flesh, slowly dispelling the pain and stress on her muscles. Martis was very generous to allow her to enjoy this special bath of his tribe. It seems that the favor she owes him are increasing.

She suddenly felt a soft throbbing from her belly. She touched her stomach where an obvious scar decorated her navel, the fading semblance of the time where she nearly died during a monster hunt. Again. Thankfully, Martis was there to save her and care for her afterwards. She can still remember the exact thing that happened that day and she can't really say that most of them are pleasant.

While there is the Temple Of Light and its Imperial Knights that fights the demons of the Abyss, there is also a less credited clandestine society that deals with the other monsters that lurk and terrorize the Land of Dawn, an order that helps guard the safety of the people of the world. Ruby was a part of this kingdom and was given a mission to locate and eliminate a massive malbeast near the borders of the Ashura country.
