Ruby was having a nice picnic with her grandparents. They were out in the clearing overlooking a magnificent flower meadow of lavenders making her cheer up. Her grandma was preparing her a plate of chicken wings with sweet and spicy sauce just like how she wanted it. Her grandpa was stirring a pot of creamy vegetables while happily humming a tune.

"Your hair is really nice Ruby." her friend said as he braided her blond hair.

"I like your hair too Chris." She complimented back. The brunette boy with crimson eyes smiled and hugged her from behind.

"I love you, Ruby. Will you say it back?"

"Okay! It back." Ruby goofed. Her friend frowned and pinched her cheeks. "You little she-devil."

"Come on Ruby, Chris! Let's eat." her grandma said as she handed them both a plate. Ruby munched on the chicken wings on her plate happily until something changed. The chicken she was eating tasted bloody and raw and she looked down at her meal to see that it was a not a chicken but a large wolf heart beating even with a bite mark. Ruby gasped and dropped the heart in the picnic mantle so she looked at her grandmother for help but saw them being casually eaten by wolves. She gasped and fell backwards.

The wolves noticed her and licked their lips with lust. They charged at her and started tearing her clothes into pieces. One wolf pulled her pantry away and pushed his face in her vagina, licking away at her womanhood.

She was going to knock before entering however cold wind suddenly blew ominously along the hallway chilling and scaring her. She threw away her courtesy lessons and just knocked in a panic and flung the door open to let herself in. She slammed the door as she saw a shadow pass along the hallway.

"What the hell are you doing, Ruby?" Alucard said groggily, obviously she had just woken him up.

"Can I sleep with you?" She asked.

"Do you know how wrong that sounds? Your father would surely have my head if he discovers this."

"But I had a nightmare!" She exclaimed in a childish voice.

"Ruby your 14, you're too old to sleep with me because of a nightmare. Stop being afraid of untrue things." Alucard said staring at her as if she was merely an illusion before returning to a reposed position.

She narrowed her eyes at him and started flicking the light switch on and off making the light blink in the room, annoying the demon hunter. He opened his eyes in a tired way and sighed. "Come on in." He surrendered.

"Yay!" He made room for her in his bed quite smaller compared to hers but enough to have both of them in. Ruby pulled the warm blankets over her body and faced sideways towards Alucard.

"Can you give me a good night kiss?" Alucard just complied and kissed her in the forehead.

"Ice bear also said he wants one." The demon hunter sighed and placed a kiss on the stuffed animal as well.

"Thank you." Ruby said in a hush. Silence then reigned as Ruby laid still trying to fall back to the arms of slumber.

A minute passed and she opened her eyes unable to sleep. She looked at the man as he peacefully rest, his handsome face losing all the coldness he usually bore.

"Can you sing me a lullaby?" Ruby whispered.

"No." He said in finality.

"Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?"

Alucard sighed. "Just do what you want and then shut up and sleep."

"Okay, here I go.
Where the north winds— meets the— sea—

There's a river— full of memory—

For in this river all is— found..." Her voice started trailing off as slumber finally visits her. Alucard turned to face her and saw that she had indeed fallen asleep after her song. His little lady have quite a pretty voice that can charm even the demons of the abyss.

He encased her in his arms and pulled her closer to his body. "Good night, my darling princess."
