Unfortunately your plan already failed, because you had trouble falling asleep. You spent almost all night thinking about the situation and the decision you had to make. The thing was, did you even have a choice in the first place? Orochimaru and Kabuto made it sound like this was for you to decide but if you didn't want to stay, they would probably just imprison or even kill you. Even if they'd let you run you didn't even know where to go. Your hometown didn't want you back and you didn't want to return there anyway. You feared that you were already registered as a renegade, who betrayed konoha and no other village would let you in. On the other hand, Orochimaru did have an interesting offer, taking revenge on Konoha, it was unfair what they did to you and you felt your blood boil, thinking about how your clan had to suffer just because of their incompetence.
In the end you decided to go along with Orochimaru's plan for now, to see in which direction it would be going, it was probably the best thing for now. After finally feeling at least a little at ease, hoping this situation wasn't as bad as it seemed, you finally managed to fall asleep and get at least a little rest.
-
You woke up by the sound of knocking on your door and the voice of Kabuto urging you to stand up and get ready. "You better hurry up, I don't intend to stand and wait here forever, Orochimaru told me to show you the way, since you just arrived." "Uhmm okay... Give me a few minutes please." You said sleepily. You got up and went into the bathroom to freshen up and again heard Kabuto's voice from outside: "Wear the clothes that we provided for you." You wore you own clothes while you were sleeping anyways, so you tried on the new outfit, it fit perfectly, which was a little weird but you didn't give it more thought.
-
Kabuto gave you a slice of bread as you too were walking through the hallways once again, guess this was you breakfast for today.
You ended up in a big room that had several stone pillars supporting the ceiling, again with lots of books on shelfs and tables. Orochimaru was standing at one of them, looking through a rather thick book. As you entered the room he put it down and turned to face you, this time with a less intimidating grin. He made a gesture, telling Kabuto to leave and just like this you were alone with him, which you weren't especially happy with.
"I assume you made your decision?" He spoke. You nodded. "Yes uhm, master Orochimaru, I intend to stay and go along with it." He seemed very pleased. "Smart decision." Was all he said. He looked at you studying your face and physique, then continued speaking. "For today, I want you to show me your abilities, I want to get a general idea of what your capable of. Follow me." You nodded and did as he said.
He lead you to a door, opening it for you and letting you step through first. You were surprised since it lead to a few stairs, at the end another door and behind it, the outside world. You were located on a clearing in the woods, there was a little river and a few big rocks on its shore. The sun was shining brightly which blinded you, since you hadn't been outside for some time. You squinted a few times trying to adjust to the brightness.
Orochimaru moved past you and turned to you, facing you, keeping a 4 meter distance. "Try attacking me." He said with a look of superiority in his, yellow eyes. He looked very confident. You were a little shocked at that request, but did what he told you, though he dodged all you attacks with ease. You didn't bring your Katana or any other weapons so you mostly tried attacking with taijutsus, wich lead nowhere.
"Is that all?" He called out to you provocatively. Then he reached behind his back and pulled your Katana out. You didn't know how he got ahold of it, because you saw it in your room this morning, but at the same time, you knew that he was capable of a lot. He threw it in your direction and you caught it easily. You charged into his direction once again.
-
You were exhausted, sweat was dripping down your forehead and your breathing was fast. You couldn't hit him once, he was probably pretty disappointed in you. You decided to take a look at his face, to see his expression, but he didn't seem mad, he seemed pleased for some reason.
"Your skills with the Katana are quite extraordinary. If you'd have used a blood control jutsu, I probably would've had to try at least a little harder to avoid your attacks, so why didn't you?" "Well, to be honest, I can't really use any special jutsus of my clan. I'm sorry, it's just that there was never anyone to teach me." You spoke, still panting. "Hmm..." he hummed. "Well, there is some stuff I know about the L/N clan, if you behave, I'll teach you." Your eyes lit up, it seemed to be true that he was very knowledgeable and had a lot of information on all kind of jutsus. You bowed to him. "It would be an honor, master Orochimaru." Maybe it really wasn't so bad that you ended up here, maybe it was even, fate, this man could help you understand more about your clan and make you stronger.
-
After that training he let you go, saying there was something important he had to take care of, so you spend the rest of the day training alone, until the sun started to set. You opened the door and went down the flight of stairs, hoping you could still remember the way back to your room. You turned a few corners, walked through the endless corridors and actually made it to the big room, where you met Orochimaru in the morning. You took a glance at where he was standing then, but he wasn't here right now. This time though, you could get a look at the thick book he read this morning, it was still laying where he left it. You didn't think this was of importance to right now but before you could look away you noticed the title of the book.
"L/N History" you whispered. You thought about looking through it, just a quick glance couldn't hurt right? But then you decided against it, you probably weren't allowed to just look at the books here, maybe you should ask Orochimaru about it tomorrow?
-
You found the way back to your room. Your were so tired today, that you had no trouble falling asleep.
-
Screams. They were so loud that your ears hurt. "Help" "It hurts so much" "Somebody save me" "What did we do?" These sentences came from all directions, repeating themselves over and over again. People were crying and screaming in agony, though you couldn't see anyone. Just all these streets and houses and blood everywhere. Suddenly something touched your shoulder, it was a hand desperately grabbing on to you. You turned around to see who this bloody hand belonged to. It was a young girl, tears streaming down her face, she had deep cuts all over her body and was crying, the sound was so horrifying. "I beg you please help us..." Is what she said, you were unable to move an inch, just more and more panic building up in your chest. Then a long spear impaled her head, exiting through her forehead, between the eyes and her whole body went lifeless. You took a few steps back, hyperventilating.
-
You opened your eyes sweating profusely. Your breathing was still fast, but you slowly managed to calm down. It was this nightmare, you had it once before after your talk with Kazuki. This was clearly about your clan being brutally murdered. A few tears escaped your eyes and your mind went back to the book you saw in the evening.
It was about 3am, everybody was probably asleep right now, there was no way they would ever know if you read a few pages. Feeling so restless, you had to do something and Orochimaru shouldn't have anything against you reading a book about your own clan, he wanted to teach you about them anyways. And like this you convinced yourself that there was nothing wrong with what you were going to do.
-
To your luck the candles were still lit, even at night so you found the way easily, you slowly opened the big wooden door, trying to make no noice. You stepped into the room and to your relive it was indeed empty. You quickly walked over to the desk with the book and luckily it was still there. You opened the front page, trying to find some kind of table of contents but the first thing you found was a picture showing an old man with a gray beard. The discription stated his name to be "Fuji L/N". You scimmed through a few pages until you found an interesting headline: "Involvement in the great shinobi war" This peaked your interested so you started to read it.
Suddenly you heard steps outside the room and before you had the chance to hide, the door slowly opened. Shit.
