Ever since last night I've been in so much pain from contractions. I knew this baby was coming but I didn't wanna go to the hospital too soon just to be sent back home so I stayed in the bed fighting through every single contraction
"Lani you been like this since last night. I think we need to go ahead to the hospital before you end up having the baby at home"
To be honest I really didn't wanna hear scooter because this pain made everything so irritating but I knew he wasn't gonna leave me alone until I gave in, besides I was too exhausted to argue
"I need help" I muttered, tryina breathe but this was just entirely too much for me. Scooter helped me up and put my slides on before leading me out of the house. Once he helped me to the car he went back in the house and I waited until he and back out with my hospital bag and the car seat
"I hope you don't think I'm having anymore of your kids" I said to him once he finally got in the car and he laughed
"You say that now"
I held onto my stomach and sat my head back as we left the house heading to the hospital. Although the ride was only 30 minutes normally, for some reason it felt like hours this time. The pain was so bad that I found myself crying, pissed because I wanted this child out of me
Once we made it to the hospital I didn't even wait for a wheelchair, instead I just got my ass out the car on my own even though scooter was telling me not to
"Please MOVE!" I said to him in an extremely irritated tone
"Lani You'on need to be walking"
I stopped walking and caught my breath, feeling another contraction so I sat down in the wheelchair
"Fuckkkkk" I cursed as scooter pushed me the rest of the way
While scooter was getting me checked in I felt another strong contraction, feeling sick to my stomach
"Lani you good?" He asked and I nodded, taking deep breaths
"Please don't talk to me right now"
Scooter sighed "You'on gotta have attitude right now. I'm tryina help"
"Try having a whole baby tryina come outta you and watch you have an attitude and don't wanna be bothered too"
One of the nurses walked over to me with a smile
"Hi I'm gonna take you to your room"
"Yeah go ahead and take her. I'm bout to go get the stuff out the car" scooter told her before wasting no time walking off and I really didn't have the energy to say or do anything so I just let the girl push me off to the room

"The doctor will be in in a minute okay" I told the older woman before leaving her room and closed the door behind me. As I walked down the hall I looked down at my watch seeing what time it was and accidentally bumped into somebody
"My bad" I apologized and realized it was Dr Johnson
"No you good" he responded as he looked at me "how's everything going?"
"Good.. great" I simply responded and he nodded
"I was just asking because you haven't been smiling that much lately"
"I'm okay I promise"
"Alright. I just wanna make sure you good.. not having no relationship problems or anything"
