"I tell you to pick any place in the world to get some to eat from and you chose American Deli?" I asked jr while me and him got back in my car
"This my favorite place" he laughed while opening his box and looked at the wings and fries before eating one
"Whatchu know about American deli"
"My daddy take me here allll the time"
"He do huh?" I asked while looking at him as he ate and jr nodded "yo momma let you eat here too?"
"When I be good at school she fuss at my daddy and make him bring me"
"Oh word? And this the same momma and daddy you said you hate?"
Once I said that he looked down like he was ashamed. I wasn't about to... or at least try not to make jr feel bad cause I understood what shy meant when he told me about jr. He witnessed a lot and I'm pretty sure it took a toll on him, however that ain no reason to act as bad as he do. And even though me and this lil nigga beef everytime we see each other, that's my nephew and ima see what's going on especially after he hurt bri feelings the way he did
"Am I in trouble?" He muttered
"Not really. Ion know, but what I do wanna know is why you said you hate yo momma and daddy?"
"They hate me first"

"They hate me so I hate them too"
I chuckled a little while sitting my seat back some
"Jr... yo momma and daddy don't hate you"
"Yes they do. They love that stupid baby and hate me"
"Why you think they hate you?"
He shrugged
"Nah tell me. This conversation between only me and you so tell me. Is it cause they fuss at you all the time?"
Jr nodded, looking down
"So You'on think you need to be fussed at when you out here cursing, hitting people, breaking shit and gettin in trouble at school every week?"
"But my daddy used to do it too"
I shook my head before chuckling " shy needa stop telling you shit... yeah yo daddy used to do it but look at where that led to? And I'm being forreal. Not just him but me and meechie too. And I know you a smart ass lil boy so ima talk to you like one the same way I do Hendrix and he only 3"
Jr just quietly looked at me
"Me, yo daddy and meechie did a lot of stuff we wasn't supposed to do and it got us in trouble. Big trouble and not just once, but we got in trouble a lot"
"Like jail?"
"Yeah and jail ain fun. It's like... shit, jail"
"I don't wanna go to jail"
"You ain going. You just gotta do better. Stop acting up cause getting in trouble ain fun, is it?"

"I know it ain't. But just do better because you don't even realize it but yo momma and daddy love you a lot and they just got a lot going on that you too young to understand. And I know it ain easy having a new baby in the house cause I gotta lil sister too, but being a big brother is one of the best things in the world"
