"I feel like we should do it the first week of August, you know. That's why we should hurry up and plan so everybody can clear their schedules" I told Kay as we sat on the chair while kinsley crawled around on the floor and Kyran just sat there looking at her
"I'll see with everybody but that's still all we got. Y'all ain even decide where y'all wanna go"
"Well bitch you the one with the most traveling experience. You pick the place"
"Let's go to Hawaii" I laughed "I ain ever been there before. Find out how much plane tickets are. Find a nice air bnb and then we can go from there"
"Is bri still gonna go? Cause I finally talked your sister into going"
"Which sister?"
"London"
"Oh.. and ima talk her into going cause I really do want her to go"
"Kay" I could hear Benji say as he walked into the living room, coming from outside. Behind him was Meechie. I could eventually feel the tension in the room get thick for some reason and Kay's eyes looked over at me
"Dadadada" kinsley continuously babbled as she crawled over to Benji then held onto his legs, standing up and held her hands up for him to grab her so he did
"Where my boy at kay?" Meechie asked
"Kay let his spoiled ass stay with his grandma" Benji answered for her while he took his phone out his pocket and looked down at it with kinsley still in his arm
"Meechie and Mary yall ain gone speak? Benji asked while he still looked at his phone and Kay sucked her teeth
"I'm just askin. Ain nobody got time to do this everytime they around each other"
"I'm good" Meechie shrugged
"I'm good too" I replied "we ain got no reason to talk"
"Y'all both run in the same damn circle. Y'all got reasons"
"Honestly" Kay shrugged "and I love y'all both so y'all need to at least be cordial or something cause I hate awkward shit like this"
"After our talk I'm cool" I told Kay "that's him and if wanna speak to me I'm not gonna beg him. Life goes on"
"It's me but you hit me up on some petty shit cause I gotta new girl?" Meechie asked me and Kay looked at us before eyeing Benji. She got up and picked up Kyran before walking out of the living room
"Come on Benji"
"The hell? This my house"
"DIMITRI" she yelled and Benji muttered something before walking off with kinsley, leaving me and Meechie.
It stayed quiet for a minute and I could tell Meechie really didn't wanna say anything to me and in all honesty, it kind of hurt
"I'm sorry, Meechie. I just didn't expect you to move on so fast"
"You thought I was bout to sit around and wait on you? My momma raised me to love hard but she damn sure ain raise me to be no bitch. You wanted to play so I found somebody that didn't"
"It's not that I wanted to play Meechie. I didn't want a relationship and you knew that"
"Mary I ain ever force you to be in no relationship"

"You implying the shit" he told me with a straight face, the first time I've ever seen him this serious "and instead of wasting years you could've said some a long time ago. That was my problem"
