Bella's pov
"Bella you're the best tuba player ever." Channing Tatum says to me
"Thanks you're..."
All of a sudden there is vibrating
"Earth quake! hold me!" I leap into Channing Tatum's arms only to be woken up by falling off my bed.
Shoot dreaming about Channing Tatum again.
I realize my phone is vibrating.. Seth.
My ex boyfriend's calling me at 3am. alright we used to be close but nobody calls me at 3am no matter how special you are.
3am is time to dream about Channing Tatum. Normally I'm up watching Netflix at 3am but band camp is the day after tomorrow so I went to bed early ?
I pick up the phone anyways
"What?" I don't even care if that was harsh
"Mr. Williams was in a car wreck." Seth blurts out
"Is he okay!?"
"It was earlier this evening so he's in the hospital recovering." Seth states
"Then why are you calling me at this ungodly hour?" I question
"I'm with him right now and he asked me to call you. He called an old friend from music college who is gonna become a substitute band director for us"
"A new band director?" That's not allowed. "What about the thanksgiving parade?"
"Bella chill its only for a month. We'll be fine."
We better be fine. nothing is ruining marching band for me, I'm not gonna deal with another Courtney or date someone who's gonna be a jerk.
You see how much attitude I have for 3am? It just never stops (inserts some gangster emoji)
*The next morning
Noah is getting home from Canada tomorrow which is also band camp.
I've been packed since the end of last years band camp (jk from last Thursday) so I have all day to be a thug.
I'm hanging out with Elia. Because Ajan are fighting one again and I don't want to be in the middle but I am.
"Mom can you drive me to meet Elias?" I ask my mom who sits on her iPad (she's not on top of the iPad more sitting down and she's using her ipad.)
"No you can walk." she replies
"Bella why don't you bike!?" My dad says out of no where
"Bike? I have a bike I forgot." I walk into my garage and and rip the tarp off the lawn mower which reveals my tiny bike I used back to Florida.
"Screw it." I mumble hoping on the bike, my knees go above the handle bars but I start to pedal down the sidewalk anyways.
Once I pedal into town people stare at me, I just smile and honk the horn.
After a horrible half hour of pedaling I reach the store I am meeting Elia at.
There are a lot of people here, they must have big girl bikes.
I go into the store to right away be greeted by Elia.
"Hey! What took so long?" she asks
"I don't want to talk about it," That horrible bike shall stay in the bike rack outside of this mall for eternity unless some hard cord gang member steals it.
We start to walk around some random shop when Elia says "There's seth."
"what?" I asked confused
'We are meeting him here!" she says like i should know
"You never told me this," I remind her
"oh. woops." she grabs my wrist and drags me to where Seth is
"Should'nt you be practicing directing?" he asks once he sees me
"should'nt you be yelling at some freshman?" my com-backs are low today
"I'm a freshman.." Elia reminds us
"Wait did you bring me along to third wheel on your date with Seth?" it all makes since.
"A date with Elia? No!" Seth says "I thought I was coming to hang out with the tubas and Elia was just coming along!"
"You hate us tubas." I state
"I hate the fact you kicked me out of the group this year." Seth admits
"I am lost." Elia says staring down at her shoes
"Okay whatever. Lets just all three hang out." I suggest
"alright, so is everyone ready for the formal dance at band camp?" Seth asks
"I told Noah I was wearing sweatpants." I laugh at my awkwardness
"What did he say?" Elia questions
"He told me he wouldn't talk to me if I did."
"That's jerky." Elia says
"I would of asked what color they were so my tie could match." Seth says
Elia looks at me full of jealousy
I start to think of when seth and I dated... Nope nope nope nope. nella.
"Hey look a potted plant!" I walk over to the potted plant and pretend to be super interested.
"Bella what is going on I am confused.." Elia states
"Did you know I use to work at a music store! For a whole week! I quit to go to Newy ork though. They send me checks every week. I could buy a car. Let's go car shopping! Hey I'll be able to drive soon!" I ramble on trying to change the subject
"Wait isnt there a trombone sectoinal today?" Seth asks
Elia looks up paniced "What?"
Seth get out his phone and checks something "There is. 5 minuets run Elia run."
Elia takes off running right out of the store and into the parking lot.
"Doesn't that mean a low brass sectional?" I question, I'm not worried I know Seth was lying.
"Does Elia like me? And does she not know we had a past?" Seth questions
"No and No." I lie about the first one cause I rather not sell my only same gender friend out.
"By the way you got a text." Seth hands me my phone
"You had my phone? what?" my baby how did he get it?
"I texted Noah stating it was Seth making sure he would be at band camp tomorrow. relax." seth explains
"will he?" I question
"Nope."
