Street POV
I wake up a few hours later to movement in the room. I open my eyes to a nurse chronic the machines hooked to Chris. "Sorry to wake you just giving her a dose of pain meds before they come get her for her scans" she said I smile at her a nod my head. I sit up and stretch my back. "So how long till I know what's wrong with her?" I ask. "Well they will take her for scans and then it will take about an hour or so for the dr to read it. I can't say for certain it's pneumonia but that's what it looks like. The scan will confirm or deny it." She tells me. I nod my head and look back over at Chris. "When will she wake up?" I ask. "Well that's depends on her. She needs rest to heal it make take some time. The good news is that her fever is down and her labs look good which means the antibiotics are working. Now all we do is wait and let her know we are here when she wakes." The nurse said. "She can hear me?" I ask. "Well I'm not 100% certain but in most cases yeah they can. Just talk to her sometime a familiar voice is all that is needed to get them to wake up" she told me. I nod my head as she leaves the room. I turn to Chris and take her hand. "Hey Chris it's me Jim I don't know if you can hear me or not but I need you to wake up. I need to know that your ok that we are ok. I can't lose you. The doctors are gonna come get you for scan soon. They think you have pneumonia. God Chris you have me so worried. Please wake up I love you." I lay my head on her bed for a few mins before there is a mock at the door. "Hey we're gonna take her for scans now" the dr tells me. I nod and move away from the bed so they can wheel her away. Now I wait.
