Dinner at the kays house

Deecan pov
I open the door to let Luca, street, and Chris in. There the last to arrive. "How's my girl" I ask as I pull Chris in for a hug. "I'm good deec I miss u and Annie and the kids" she says. I pull away from her and turn to street " you doing ok kid" I ask. "Yeah I'm good" he says. I notice the look he gives Chris and she turns away and smiles. "Alright time to eat guys" Annie says and we all head to the dining room. We sit around the table and bless the food and start eating. I notice the Chris and street keep looking at each other. "So what did you guys do for 2 weeks that you were off" Annie ask. "Umm not much we watched a lot of tv and movies, learned that street can't cook, and I got better" chris says. "Hey my cooking was not that bad" he says. "Umm yeah I think the only thing you can make is spaghetti and meatballs and pancakes. Everything else's was inedible" she says and takes a bit of her food. "Ok well at least I tried to cook and didn't call my uncle for food" he says. She turns and looks at him "that was one time and I didn't hear you complaining about uncle sanzo food" she says. "You ate uncle sanzos food without me" Luca ask. Chris and street nod their heads. "Unbelievable, I thought we were better than that Chris" Luca says. "I'll have him make some more food and bring you some Luca" she says. "Deal" Luca responds. "I'm just glad that street made it out alive I really didn't want another rookie on the team." Tan says. "Yes thank you Chris for not having me come over to get rid of the body" I say. "Really you would help her" street says. "Yes he would cause he loves me more" Chris says. "Yeah I'll always help my girl out she may as well be my daughter" I say "that is very much true" Annie says with a laugh "how did you to survive each other for two week in an apartment" Annie ask. "We just tried to keep each other busy" street says and Chris chokes on her drink. Street turns to her "you ok?" He ask. "Yeah just went down wrong" she says. We finish dinner with swapping stories and laughs. Chris and street help clean up the dishes and I watch as when he passes her his hand brushes her lower back. "Hey Chris you got a min" I ask. "Yeah what's up" she say and I nod my head towards the back yard. She follows me out and I shut the door and walk to the swing and we sit. "Deecan everything ok?" She ask. "Yeah I just what's going on with you and street I have noticed some things and just want to make sure everything is ok." I say. " we're ok deec still figuring it out but I took hondos advice and followed my heart and it lead me to him." She says with a smile. "I'm happy for you Chris really I am anyone could see how in love he was with you and the way you stuck by him even when he may not hve deserved it showed just how much you loved him too. I'm glad that brain of your finally caught up with your heart. And I'm glad y'all had some time to work thing out before getting back to work." I tell her. "Yeah me too he's good for me" she says. "That he is, so about work" I say "well we have to figure that out I don't want either of us to switch teams but I don't know how else that would work." She says. "I talked to hondo and we talked to hicks together. Hicks said as long as it stays professional there shouldn't be a problem but when it does become unprofessional then one of you switches to 50 David" I say and she her head "thank you so much deec for figuring this out for me it means alot" she says as we stand up and walk back in to finish out the night "anything for my girl" I say.

Chris pov
After talking with deec I walk back inside and look for street. He's sitting on the living room floor playing with the kids. I walk over and sit in the couch behind him. He look up at me and smile and I smile back. He leans back against me so that he is leaning against my legs. I look at the tv to see some kid show playing and look back down at street who is "losing" at tic tac toe. My fingers go to his hair and I play with the hair at the base of his neck. I'm lost in though when I hear "earth to Chris" coming from tan. "Huh" I say and turn and look at him. "When did this happen" he says and motions to me and street. "Over quartine" I say. "That's it" tan ask. "That's all you need to know and I would like to keep this between the team please" I say. All the boys agree. "So what about hicks" tan say. "Well actually deecan and hondo talked to him and as long as we stay professional at work we can stay on the same team" I say. "Really" street says with a smile. I nod my head at him and run my fingers through his hair again. The night winds down and the kids are sent off to bed with Annie and everyone is getting ready to go. "Well since they all know can I at least kiss you good night" street ask. I nod my head and he leans down and kisses me. Wolf whistle come from the other boys and I flip them all off. "Yo Chris you staying at ours tonight or you going home" Luca ask. I look up at street "definitely yours" I say. "Sweet" Luca says. "I got to swing by mine to pick up some clothes and stuff then I'll be over" I tell street. "Ok be careful and I'll see you soon. Love you" he says. "Love you too" I say and I give him a quick kiss and climb into my jeep to head to my place. I so glad I listened to my heart and finally found someone I want to spend the rest of my life with.
