Sophie's POV
"Luke, why didn't you tell me that you're my mate?!" I asked angrily.
He gulped and started to say something, but no sound came out.
"Well?" I asked impatiently as I tapped my foot.
Luke just stood there with nothing to say. His face was stiff and it looked like he was struggling with something. My wolf got pissed with every second that passed. Still nothing came out. I felt myself sadden my mate didn't want to claim he was my mate. Earlier he wasn't so quiet. So why won't he claim me?
Luke of all people should've known how much I wanted to find my mate. He knew I was his mate the minute I hugged him when I came back. He's known all along, yet he decided to not tell me. The only explainable reason is he doesn't want me.
Before I know it, a tear slipped from my eye. My mate, my childhood friend, didn't want me. He was going to reject me. More tears slid down my face.
"Luke, why didn't you tell me?" I whispered while the tears kept coming.
He gave me a look of sadness, regret and pity. Luke has known about my dream ever since we were young. Me finding my mate and having a happy family would be a dream come true. Yet he chose not to claim me as his mate. I've been here for a few weeks and Luke had plenty of chances to tell me, but he didn't.
My mate had a defeated look on his face now as he whispered quietly, "I couldn't."
I barely heard him. If it wasn't for my werewolf hearing I probably wouldn't have heard him.
"Poor, poor boy," Wisdom whispered softly.
I just stood there and stared at Luke with disbelief and started to laugh hysterically. Why couldn't he tell me? I thought we were best friends again? Apparently we aren't since he didn't even bother to tell me he was my mate!
My wolf was outraged by this. In my mind I could see her in a frenzy of mixed emotions. I felt mostly betrayed. On the other hand Wisdom was just repeatedly saying, 'poor, poor boy.' My wolf stayed silent throughout the whole ordeal.
Feeling no need to stay here, I ran out of the piano room and quickly shifted into my white wolf. I ran into the woods having the need to run. Maybe if I take a run, I can calm down and figure things out. Too many things were running in my mind.
I liked the feeling of the wind rushing past my fur. Running at full speed and passing by a ton of trees. It felt like freedom. I continued on this run feeling myself calm down.
Once I reached the deepest part of the woods I tripped on a tree root. It was already really dark outside. I've been running for hours. It was so dark out that I couldn't see I was surrounded.
Running out this late was a big mistake. I forgot the Little Monsters roam around this late. For some reason they just loved to visit me...
Tonight they decided to come with there friends. No longer was it the usual five or six. It was more.

Luke's POV
I watched as my mate ran out of the room. My wolf was pissed at me and I felt like a failure. I needed my mate, but the addiction to sex stopped me from claiming her. In order to survive I needed sex. It has become something that was necessary. Having only one person, my mate to have sex with would've driven me crazy. I needed sex like food.
I doubted Soph could satisfy me so I never told her. She didn't have to know about my addiction. Plus I don't need a mate right now and the pain is unpleasant. I didn't want this. Not right now. I wasn't ready for a mate. I don't think I ever would be because of my addiction.
Her heat was also at it's strongest. I was holding back as best as I could. My wolf was starting to get out of control. Her hormones were just too much for me to handle right now.
Since we were mates I could feel how bad Soph felt. This connection that mates have wasn't helping me. It only doubled the guilt. I needed something to get rid of this feeling.
I stood up and walked out of the room and went into the kitchen in search for beer. I opened the fridge and saw a whole bunch on the bottom. I took a few and quickly went up to my room. Quickly opening the bottle and chugging down the beer.
Usually the beer would take a long time to take it's affect but the beer we had was different. It was a specially made beer for werewolves that was so strong that it could potentially kill a human with a few sips. The alcohol started it's numbing affect after I finished several. I was on auto pilot now. Opening a bottle, chugging it all down, throwing the empty bottle somewhere and repeating the whole process again. Each bottle I finished helped make the feelings go away.
I started to feel like the whole room was spinning and it just felt funny. I took out my phone a called what's his name...Gavin.
I called him and he picked up after the first few rings.
"Hello?" he answered.
"It's me. Come now." I demanded.
"Who is this?" Gavin asked.
"Lukkke," I slurred. (A/N I dunno if i'm writing this right...)
"Sh-sur-sure, where to?" he stuttered.
"House," I said and hung up.
Time for more drinks!!! I chugged down more than I ever had in my entire life. I staggered into my bed, but kept falling before I could reach it. I gave up after the fifth fall and just laid there on the floor.
I watched my whole room spin as the buzz of alcohol continued doing it's job. It's amazing what being drunk can do. I started the fits of hiccuping as I got dizzier and dizzier. Continuing to drink more beer.
Suddenly I felt this panic rising. It was ruining my buzz! Go away stupid feelings. The panic continued to rise as fear started seeping into it and weaved together to make a huge alert sign in my head. I slowly realized my mate was in danger, but I was too late. Excruciating pain started to pierce all over my body. It felt like I was being hit by a train with a bomb strapped around my body while being in a fire repeatedly.
"Luke! Your mate has been found in the woods! Our guards just found her a few minutes ago and she's in a bloody mess!!! We're sending her to a hospital right now," Justin alerted me through the pack mind link.
"Room is spin," I responded.
Justin must have realized I was drunk because within a few minutes he barged through my room. He quickly helped me up and asked some other pack members to bring me into a car. I guess he's taking me somewhere...
I continued to hiccup more. I felt sick...ugh! My head started to spin even more and...I threw up in the car. All that beer and the food I ate earlier started to come up. I could feel the chewed up cake and alcohol moving up my throat and into my mouth.
My mouth already open as the chunky watery yellow liquid spewed out of my mouth. (A/N sorry, I dunno what being drunk feels like so uhhh...yeah?)
"Luke, you're drunk right?" Justin asked with concern.
"Nuuuu," I slurred and saw white and black spots. Then my vision caved in and I passed out.
