Two classes later and it's finally lunch. Now, I know what you are thinking. Only two classes? That's what I thought, but then I realized the school ran on a block schedule. The two classes were long as hell. For English we read pretty much half the book. Ok I'm being over dramatic but we did read a lot.
My second class was math. I had that with Winter and again, Eric was in this class as well. It kind of freaks me out that I can't stop looking at him. I don't want to admit this, but he is really attractive.
Now I'm standing in the lunch line with my 3 roommates. Out of all the places they have to eat on campus, most people choose the main lunch room. I will never understand.
"What's for lunch today?" Winter asked.
"Fish tacos." Faith answered.
"Oh my favorite!" Winter cheered.
"Yea, I'm not really hungry so I'm going to sit down."
"Ok. Well, our table is right over there." Winter pointed to the table that was right in the middle of the whole cafeteria. We'll meet you there."
I nodded and made my way towards the table. I sat down and took out my phone. My mom had been texting me non stop. She's going through the worry and I miss you faze. I tried to use this as an advantage so she would let me come back home, but my farther is being suborn. Wow dad. I thought you loved me.
I put my phone down and began to look around the cafeteria. At my old school, everything was divided. Cheerleaders, nerds, swimmers, football players, artsy people, drama people and etc. but here, it's completely different. It's like anyone would sit with anyone. Goths and cheerleaders. Artsy people and football players. What?
I looked around more and my eyes set on Eric. What? Why is he sitting alone? Honestly, no one else in this whole room is sitting alone. Not even the teacher on lunch duty.
Plates of food were sat on the table next to me, snapping me out of my thoughts. I looked up and my roommates were now sitting down.
"Are you sure you're not hungry?" Jade asked frowning at me. "I mean come on. Who says no to food?"
I smiled at her. "I'm fine I swear. I'm still full from the Doughnut I ate."
"That was so long ago." Faith said.
I shrugged. "Some days I don't have that big of an appetite."
Faith and Jade nodded and began to eat their food.
"So. Um. Why is Eric sitting alone?"
Jade shrugged. "Bad boy likes to be alone."
I laughed. "Oh come on. He hardly seems like a bad boy."
Jade raised her eyebrow. "Whatever you say Lia."
"I'm gonna go sit by him."
Faith spit out her drink and Winter began to pat her back to stop her from chocking. Jade on the other hand, well let's just say she needed a napkin. She was the one sitting across from Faith.
Ok, I'm laughing. That was hilarious.
"You're joking right?" Jade asked while wiping her face.
"Why would I be?" I asked confused.
"It's just. I don't think that's a good idea. I mean. Like. Ugh! You're going to get a lot of attention and people might treat you differently." Winter rambled.
"I don't care about what others think of me. Plus I'm used to the loner profile. I'll be fine. And I totally understand if you don't want me to hang out with you guys after this."
