"Do you have a secure phone connection? Which cannot be traced back?" She asked after a few minutes of silence from both of their revelations. Everyone present was shocked. Edward acted like a depressed teen. He was melodramatic. He was stupid sometimes and extremely possessive and an ass too sometimes. But no one could even imagine Edward being deceitful. But the evidence is suggesting other wise.

Jasper nodded. They did need a connection for them to establish their identities in which ever country they decide to settle down in next. He handed her the phone.

"Billy? Is Jacob there?" She asked as soon as Billy answered. There was no time for niceties. They were talking for the first time in two years after the Spokane incident but she couldn't waste the time. She didn't know the future or if she would get the chance to give them the information she needed to give them. They need to know she was alive and safe.

"No Bella, he is in college."

"Get Sam for me please?" She asked and Sam was at the phone with every one who was available in a flash.

"Bella? Are you okay? Are you safe? You said they caught up with you in Nevada last year. There was no call after that." Sam asked worried and also relieved that she called. Well, the vampires in the room could hear everything. They were puzzled. It seems there was a reason she was living as Violet after all.

"I am as safe as I can be. I met an acquaintance. I guess I will be safe for a while. I called because I didn't want you to worry. Call a meeting and tell everyone I called, okay? How is the baby? What did you name her?" She asked.

"We had a beautiful baby girl, we named her Susan and she is a very healthy and happy baby."

"I love you all so much. I will call again some time. Bye." Now she can rest easy. They know she was alive. Everything was well back in Forks too. She slumped down into the couch.

"Remember Victoria?" She asked out of the blue. Jasper had a very bad feeling about this. "Well, she came back for me." She said so nonchalantly.

Bella started narrating her tale.

"Edward... He left me in the woods after he broke up with me. I wanted to follow him, foolish I know. I got further and further away from the trail leading home and later got lost in them. I was there for I don't know how long shivering in cold, in rain when Sam from the reservation found me and took me home. It wasn't easy. I was addicted, you can say, to your family, your love, care, and the fairy tale I wove around Edward and I. I couldn't let go. I didn't want to forget anyone. It hurt. I felt like my heart was ripped out and everything here was hollow." She had a far off look in her eyes. She was going back while telling the tale. "I was a zombie. I didn't eat, sleep or talk to anyone. Sleep was haunted by nightmares and whatever I ate was vomited back. I had no desire to live actually. It felt like everything around me was colorless, monotone. Then I woke up. I looked at myself. I wasn't Bella anymore. I was just a husk. I was hurting my friends, my father and myself. I pulled myself together for him. Charlie may not be the best dad, but he was there when I needed him. I went to school, made friends, became lively, out going, did sports, got over my habit of tripping over air." Here Bella and Jasper smiled remembering how clumsy she used to be.

" Well, I had a thought that if vampires were real then so would the shape shifters. I told Jake about his legends which helped me identify what you were. It was lucky Jake was going through the transformation when I told him, or our friendship wouldn't have lasted . He became a shape shifter, a wolf. In short, I got close to the pack. They are my family and I am theirs. One day, Sam called a meeting and asked me if I knew a leech. That it was female with red hair who was stalking the town and the rez. Victoria was back for revenge." She said with her eyes closed.
