🗯️16: Last Human Moments🗯️

Bella was very happy and also worried at the moment. She didn't want to put anyone in danger because of her. It would be her 22nd birthday in two months. If she was turned into a vampire, she wanted to do it by then. But she was worried that staying with the Whitlock family would be harmful.

"Bella, we know you are worried that staying with us will harm us." Peter said one day as she was eating. She just nodded her head. It was true, no sense in denying it when they all knew what she was thinking and feeling. They sat down in the living room again as Pete led them there after her dinner.

"Listen to us. It is safe with us than it would be alone. We never told you our story, did we?" Char said as she sat down beside her. And so, Bella was told the tale of Maria, how Jasper was turned and how they fought wars as new born vampires for territory. How Jasper and Maria were at each others throats at the very end just before Peter came back and put an end to the fight by taking Jasper away from there. Maria and Jasper were on the verge of killing each other by dividing the new born vampires and inciting them against the other side.

"It was a war, I fought in a war as a human and became a Major in the army. Then I fought a war as a vampire from the first day I woke up. We are all competent fighters, trust us, we will all be safe if we stick together." Jasper added.

"Alright, I wasn't saying that I would leave. I know Jasper is my mate. What? You thought I wouldn't notice? I pretty much knew the first time we kissed. I won't leave. It will hurt both of us, all of us. You guys, you are also my family now. I won't hurt you. I know it's dangerous for all of us if I stay. But I can also sense it that if I leave, something much more awful will happen." Bella said with a smile. "I just know I can't leave. I won't leave. It was just a thought."

"Let's go somewhere. Anywhere. We will make a trip of it." Char suggested, changing the topic. Their past was a touchy subject as I was to Bella.

"Yes and we can end the tour a few days before my birthday and we can plan our last stop for my turning. That way we can have fun and do all the things I wanted to do as a human before I am not human anymore." Bella was excited. She never went on a trip, any kind of trip, just for fun. These two years, she was on run, though she did have fun sometimes, it was different from going with family, friends and just playing around. It would be different and great.

Her excitement was like a drug. Jasper was drunk on it as her shield dropped in her excitement and he projected it onto Char and Peter as well. He also added gratefulness to the mix he sent to Char. She made Bella's day. Bella was happy, excited and so he was happy as well. She changed, every human changes but she was also the same person he knew before.  She loves to read, she is stubborn, she is sarcastic when she is angry, which happened only once thank god. An angry Bella is dangerous, especially with how she throws the target of her anger across the room with her shield. She still hates shopping as much as she used to three years ago but she indulges Charlotte as she used to do with Alice.

"Now, don't get angry at me. Do you want to visit our family in these two months?" Jasper asked very cautiously as he hugged her to his side on the couch to keep her from reacting. Not that it would be much help, she can just throw him with her shield and react. But it was the matter of peace of mind than the logic of his actions.

"Jasper, as much as I love them, you have to agree, if we visit them before I was turned in these two months, it would turn into a family matter, something to vote on, something some of them agree with and some of them won't. They will accept it in the end but it doesn't mean there won't be debates, arguments and fights as soon as they are told of our decision. It will also include discussions on why Edward lied and it will dissolve into a mess. I want to do this before my birthday, please. I know it won't happen if we visit our family before I am a vampire or in these two months." They were silent for a while.
