"We here!"

Aidyn's high pitched squeal startled everyone on the bus. It was too early in the morning for yelling. We were currently in New York for the bous show at Darien Center. The show was in two days so we had booked hotel rooms for us. We all hopped out of the bus and grabbed our bags off the bus. We got the key to our rooms and we were assigned two to a room except for the girls.

"I miss beds." Marley flopped down on one of the beds.

We started settling in and just as we finished, there was a knock at the door. I went and opened to door to see Jeff standing there.

"Hey." I said with a smile. "Don't you have to leave soon?"

The boys were going to the local news station to do an interview and place some music to promote the concert. Which meant a morning of fun for the girls.

"Yeah, I'm about to go meet the guys." Jeff replied. "But I wanted to ask you something first."

"What's up?"

"I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me?" He asked, nervously rubbing the back of his neck. "Like a real one? Our official first date?"

I smiled and kissed his cheek. "I'd love to."

Jeff smiled and lissed my forehead. "Then I'll see you later tonight."

I watched him leave, a large grin spread across my face. Around ten o'clock, the girls and I went for breakfast. Afterwards we walked around town, visiting shops of anything fun that caught Aidyn's attention. At about six o'clock, we headed back to the hotel and I received a text from Jeff.

J: Hey, I'll be by your room in a few minutes. Bring clothes that keep you warm.

I raised an eyebrow. Keep me warm? It's June. I got dressed in a t shirt and pants and layed a couple of jackets ober my arms, in preparation for whatever Jeff had planned. At 6:15, he arrived at my room.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"Yep." I turned and waved to the girls as we left. "Bye."

"Don't have too much fun!" Marley called out after us with a wink.

I rolled my eyes and follwed Jeff out of the hotel. We started down the street and I kept wondering why I would need jackets.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

Jeff smiled. "You'll see."

After a few more minutes of walking, Jeff stopped and made me close my eyes. I did so and felt him grab my hand and we started walking again. I heard a door open and as Jeff lead me inside, I suddenly became cold.

I felt Jeff let go of my hand. "Okay, open your eyes."

I opened my eyes and couldn't believe where we were. "An ice rink? We're gonna ice skate?!" I asked, slightly bouncing on my feet.

"Yeah, is that okay?"Jeff sounded nervous.

"Absolutely!" I grinned. "I've never gone ice skating before."

"Well, I promise you'll have fun." Jeff reached around a corner and and handed me a pair of skates. "The guys and I were able to get the whole place to ourselves."

I smiled as I put my skates and my jackets on. So far this date sounded wonderful. Trying a new activity, alone time with Jeff. It was perfect. I doubled check my skates before standing up, wobbling only a bit.

"Okay." I said. "I'm ready. How do we do this?"

"Well, watch me first." Jeff walked to the entry door to the rink and stepped out onto the ice. He skated around the rink a couple of times, gracefully and it looked like it took him no effort.

"Wow." I had to admit I was in awe. "You're amazing."

Jeff laughed a little. "Well, I play on a hockey team back in Nashville so I have experience."

"I'll have to come to one of your games one day." I walked up to the entry door. "What do I do?"

"Just step onto the ice and hold onto the rail."

I stepped out and already felt unsteady on my skates. I grabbed the rail with one hand and took Jeff's hand with the other. We started out slow, allowing me to acclimated with being on the ice. After a while, I let go of the rail but kept my other hand in twined with Jeff's. Soft music was playing over the rink's speakers.

"How am I doing?" I asked.

Jeff smiled at me and adjusted his grip on my hand. "You doing great."

After a couple more time around the rink, we picked our speed up a bit. The more and more we went around the more my confidence was building until I finally felt brave enough and let go of Jeff's hand. I wonbled a little at forst but pushed off again, keeping my balance. Jeff had me practice a few other techniques like knowing how to get up if I fall and learning to stop.

For the first time in along while, I was on a date....and having fun with the guy I was with. Every moment that I spent with Jeff made me forget more and more about Ryan. It was easy to. They were exact opposites.

I skated around the rink with more and more ease as I got the hang of it. Sometimes we would skate side by side, pass by each other or like we dancing. Everything about it was perfect.

"Are you having fun?" Jeff asked as we skated passed each other.

"Absolutely." I replied. "This is the best first date I've ever been on."

I skated up to him and wrapped my arms around his waist, resting my head against his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and laid his chin on top of my head.

"Thank you." I said. "This was wonderful."

Jeff placed a light kiss to the top of my head. "You're welcome."

As the night rolled around, we put away our skates and took our jackets off as we left the rink and headed back to the hotel. Jeff walked me to my room.

"Thank you again for tonight." I said. "I had an amazing time."

"I'm glad." Jeff reached down an placed a light kissed to my lips. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

I enter my room with a blissful sigh. Even though it'd be here before I knew it...

I didn't want this tour to end.
