Chapter 6: Operation Love Riot

(Marley's POV; ya didn't see that coming either)

I hurried around the venue looking for Avery and the guys. A few shows had gone by since Mya started denying her feelings. It had been so long since I had seen her genuinely happy. I had been there for her ever since her dad left. I was there when her mother couldn't be. Mya probably slept at my house more than her own as a kid.

Because she had to take care of her mom, she really didn't have tome to date and the couple of relationship she did have, they were with guys who ultimately weren't good guys.

She may deny it now, but I can tell that Jeff's a good guy for her. And I have a plan to get them together. Or at least help her relaize it.

I finally found Avery with the guys, except for Mya and Jeff. I know this plan's gonna sound wierd to them but hopefully once I explain, they'll be on board.

"Okay, what did you want to talk to us about?" Avery asked.

"Well," I began. "I've noticed and I don't know if you guys had, but lately I've been seeing that Mya and Jeff seem to be distracted by each other."

"Oh yeah, we've noticed." Jody commented.

"Good." I continued. "Well, I have a plan to help them out. I'll take Mya shopping to get a new dress for tonight's show. Avery, you and Jody take Jeff and get him a new suit and a haircut. Michael and Duncan will stay here and track us on our phones to make sure we don't cross paths. Got it?"

Everyone agreed and the boys gave me some money to buy Mya and myself some dresses for tonight. Then we split up and put Operation Love Riot into action.

(Mya's POV)

"Marley, I still don't understand why I need a new dress for tonight."

Marley and I went currently and a dress shop about twenty minutes away feom the venue. She insisted that I get a new dress for tonight's show.

"Because it wouldn't hurt to look nice." She answered. "And plus the guys gave us the money to buy our dresses. It's a gift."

I smiled and finished and putting on my dress. It was a simple, short white dress that I quite liked. I stepped out of the dressing room and gave a little twirl so that Marley could see the whole thing.

"Wow!" Marley gasped. "You look incredible!"

"Thanks." I replied. "I think I'll get this one."

"Yay!" Marley jumped up. "My turn."

(Jeff's POV)

"Have you found one you like yet?" I heard Avery call.

"I think so." I replied.

Avery and Jody convinced me that I need a hair cut and a new suit for tonight's show. We had had already gone to the hair salon and now they had me trying on suits. It had found a nice simple black one that I liked. I stepped out to get their approval.

Avery's eyes widened. "Wow."

"You look great." Jody added.

"Thanks." I said. "I guess I'll take this."

Once we paid we headed back to the venue to get ready for the show.

-time skip to after show-

As the audience filed out of the venue, I headed backstage as some of the crew began packing up the equipment.

"Hey, you guys did great!" I heard Mya's voice behind me.

"Thanks." I replied. I turned around to face her and....wow! Looks like I wasn't the only one who got something new for the show. She looked incredible!

(Mya's POV)

"Hey, you guys did great!" I told Jeff when I found him backstage.

"Thanks." He said, turning around to face me.

Woah! He looked amazing! He wore a black suit that I had never seen and his hair was different(a/n: that the only point of the picture in the beginning. That's the hair cut).

Wait a minute. I got a new dress and he got a new suit and a haircut and nobody else did. Something tells that this has Marley written all over it.

"You look great." I told him.

"Thanks." He replied.

"Is that a new suit?" I asked.

"Yeah." Jeff answered. "Is your dress new?"

I nodded. "Yep."

"Well, you look beautiful."

I felt a slight blush creep onto my cheeks. I said my goodbyes because there was somebody I need to have a talk with. I walked around backstage until I eventually found Marley.

"Really?" I crossed my arms.

"What do you mean?" Marley asked, innocently.

"I know you did this." I said. "As much as I will admit that he looks good, I don't like Jeff."

"You say that." Marley smirked. "But I think you're lying to yourself."

"I am not." I assured her.

Marley rolled her eyes as we headed back to the bus. Once everything was packed and everyone was ready to go, we head back onto the road to our next destination.
