"Mm, morning Kou," A low voice mumbles, the owners arms wrapping further around my waist. I manage to turn over so we're facing each other and I smile at my sleepy boyfriend.

"Morning to you too," I answer, booping his nose.

"Did you just boop me?"

"Maybe," I answer with a small giggle. Suddenly, I find myself on my back, looking up at my boyfriend as he cages me against the mattress.

"What did we say about the booping?" He asks me.

"Don't boop you when you've just woken up,"

"So why did you do it?"

"Because I know you respond like this," I answer with a wink.

"Winking? Seriously?"

"Hey, I thought it was flirty!" I protest.

"No more winking, it's weird,"

"Come on," I protest, booping him again.

"Alright, that's it," My boyfriend releases his arms and drops his full body weight on me.

"Hey- Hey! Hey- Get off!" I protest, struggling to push him. He doesn't move. "Daichi please~," I whine at him. Thankfully, he finally moves, laughing his head off. "You're so mean!" I slap his arm.

"Stop with the whining, you sound like Oikawa," Daichi says. I immediately stop whining. "D'you want a hug to make up for it?" I nod and roll into his side. "Good morning, Koushi,"

"Good morning, Daichi,"

"Has your school given you any guidelines of things you need to do?" He asks.

"Yeah, over this weekend we need to put together lesson plans for zoom lessons starting next week. We're doing the online lessons on Mondays and Fridays. I'm going to need to set up a work space in here at some point as well," I explain. Daichi hums in response as he reaches over and entwines our fingers. He does it when he senses that I'm getting stressed.

"I'll help you set it up," He says, "I'll make a little sign for the door as well so nobody disturbs you when you teaching. How about we get a little coffee maker as well for in here so you don't need to go all the way downstairs for a refill?" I nod and squeeze his hand. "We've been asked to stay home and do any paperwork on our home computers. We only need to go in when we get called in to arrest people. So I'll be home most of the time with you,"

"Fancy pancakes for breakfast?" I ask.

"Need a hot assistant?" Daichi jokes.

"Yeah, an ass-istant," I tease back.

"Alright, let's go then. You're going to need a lot of batter."

We get ready and head downstairs and I spot Kenma and Oikawa sitting in the living room playing Mario Kart. Kenma looks pretty tired so I send Kuroo a message telling him to come down and take Kenma upstairs.

I start rounding up ingredients to make the batter mix and calculating how much of everything I'm going to need. Wait- where's my-

"Kou," I turn around and sigh as Daichi holds up my apron. I thank him as he ties it for me. "No problem," He leans down and kisses me chastely. "Kiss the cook," He reasons, moving away to pour himself a glass of orange juice. He's so cringey.

I walk into the living room.

"Morning sunshines," Oikawa and Kenma look up at me. "Kenma you need to go to bed now, thank you for babysitting." Kenma hops up from his seat but immediately falls back down. He groans and tries again, staggering but staying up this time. "I'll go and grab your tablets," I tell him as he stumbles across the room.

I grab his tablets from the medicine drawer and read the instructions before tipping one out and pouring a glass of water. I return to the living room and find Kenma leaning against the doorway and glaring at the staircase.

"Here," I hand him his tablet and the glass which he quickly takes, before handing me back the glass.

"Thanks," He mumbles, before attempting to stumble towards the staircase. How long do his iron tablets take to kick in again?

"Kenma," Another voice breaks the air as Kuroo comes down the staircase, sweeping Kenma into his arms. "Come on, let's get you to bed. Thanks Suga," I nod in response to the thanks before returning to the kitchen.

Daichi's turned on the tv which is currently playing the news.

"Ready to make pancakes?" I ask, clapping my hands and trying to distract myself from the numbers on the tv screen.

Eventually, we've made enough batter for 3 dozen pancakes. Hopefully one each for most people will be fine because we're out of eggs. Note to self: buy eggs by the dozen not the half dozen.

I hear voices and footsteps and soon the dining room is filled with people and pancakes. People fight over the eight spares but they go to the pro volleyball players who apparently need them the most.

Daichi pouts at only getting one pancake so I slice mine in half and grab an apple from the fruit basket.

"Dai," He looks at me, "Quick, before someone notices," I whisper, nudging my plate over. He smiles and kisses my cheek.

"You are an angel," He says, before quickly scarfing down the other half of the pancake. I eat my half and move onto my apple, sitting back to look at the table but realising that everyone is staring at us.

"Kou-chan! You said that you were just good friends!" Oikawa says.

"We didn't want to tell you guys yet!" I protest. I feel bad for not telling anyone but we thought it would be better to wait until we'd all settled into the new house and new environment.

"How long?" Kuroo asks.

"We've been together since Christmas," Daichi answers, reaching to squeeze my hand under the table.

"Kou-chan~" Oikawa whines.

"You know why I didn't tell you," I cut him off, "So shut up and eat your pancakes," He pouts but munches on his pancake.

The doorbell rings and I groan, pushing my chair back. I've already finished and I'm closest to the door so it's my job to get it. I open it and find someone who looks vaguely familiar. She's short but she's wearing stupidly high hot pink heels. Her hair looks naturally blonde at the roots but she's clearly bleached it. Bleached hair and over-done fake tan is not a good look on anyone. Especially not when she's also wearing too much makeup and gaudy bright red lipstick. It reminds me of a line from a tv show "red lipstick is for putas". Now, sometimes red lipstick does look really nice but on this girl in front of me... yeah, she's a puta.

"Hi, my name is Courtney, I'm looking for my boyfriend."
