Your head was spinning after so much dancing. The hall was hot and crowded, you needed to catch your breath before you became faint.
Nodding to your sister Sansa, you slipped from the hall and began to slowly pace the cool corridors of the Red Keep.It was the celebration of King Joffrey and Lady Margaery's betrothal. Your relief for your sisters safety was easily mistaken for happiness for your friend Lady Margaery, leading to no suspicion of your dislike of the King from any of the Lannisters.
Lost in your thoughts, your flushed cheeks now cooling, you looked around and realised you had wandered too far. You were lost.
Due to the recent riots of the Smallfolk, most of the guards were posted in and around the hall meaning you had no one to ask for directions.
A slight panic fluttered in your belly and you felt your cheeks begin to heat up again, this time from nerves. You'd taken so many turns, so deep in thought, you couldn't backtrack.
You swept forwards, down yet another long corridor when a soft jingle caught your attention. You looked around, and noticed a large door which was slightly ajar.
Slowly stepping towards the ornately carved door, you pushed it open only to be greeted by a handsome fluffy tom cat."Hello, little one." You cooed, crouching to pet the cat. He nuzzled into your hand and purred, before jumping up on to the large luxurious looking bed.
Standing up and looking at the cat, you wondered to whom he could belong. The cat meowed at you, demanding more affection.
You gathered your skirts and gently perched on the edge of the bed, the tom cat making his way over to you.You don't know how much time had passed. You didn't care. The soft cat had curled up in your lap, you daren't move for fear of waking him. Despite your siblings having direwolves that always chased them away, you loved cats. Big and small, black or white, boy or girl.
The partially open door swung wide on its hinges, and the Lannister Prince walked in. Your head snapping up, fear gripped you. You were in the Prince's room. On his bed, no less!"Y-your Grace, please forgive me. I saw this cat a-and..." you began to stammer, making to stand up.
"Don't move, Lady Stark" the gentle Prince smiled, "its quite alright! Ser Pounce certainly seems to like you."
Tommen moved to sit beside you, gently stroking his beloved pet."Please forgive me, Your Grace. I had left to get some air, I became lost and saw Ser Pounce. I so love cats, I could never have one at home." Looking into the young man's green Lannister eyes, you felt a blush creep across your face.
"Well, Lady Stark, you are always welcome to spend time with Ser Pounce. Especially as it also means I'll get to see more of you." The young Prince smiled at you before continuing, "And please, when we're alone, call me Tommen."
"Only if you call me y/n." you winked, causing the gentle man to blush. You heard your sisters voice, faintly calling your name. She must been looking for you. You cursed her poor timing before gently placing Ser Pounce on Tommen's lap.
"It seems as though my sister has noticed my absence. I hope to see you again, Ser Pounce. And you Tommen." Whispering this last part, you gently bent to kiss the handsome Prince on the cheek before curtseying and exiting the room, leaving Prince Tommen blushing as crimson as his doublet.
