"Of course, Your Grace." You respond and look at her expectedly, nerves flitting in your stomach.
The Queen looks you up and down for a moment. Her expression is imperceptible as she orders you - "Come here." in a low voice as she indicates the stool for you to sit.
You come closer, obeying her command, and sitting. Her emerald eyes are fixed on you now. Her gaze is almost hungry, her mouth curled into her signature half-smile. From this angle you are even closer to her than you have ever been. The Queen's face, now only a few inches from yours, looks even more beautiful than ever. The smooth, porcelain skin and sharp features of her face almost take your breath away. The slight flush of her skin from the heat makes your insides dance, as does the mildly mischievous glint in her eyes.
"Have you ever wondered about life beyond these walls?" The Queen asks, looking you straight in the eye.
"Outside of the Red Keep you mean?" You ask, surprised at her sudden curiosity.
Cersei nods, watching you intently. "Outside of the Keep, outside of King's Landing. Beyond the whole of Westeros... There is so much you could see and experience if you left King's Landing."
You breathe deeply, pondering how best to answer her. This may be a sensitive subject and you do not wish to upset her. "I have never wanted for anything, Your Grace. I am most content here in your service." She takes a moment to collect her thoughts, clearly thinking about something and then continues: "You've never left the city, have you?"
You swallow and reply, "No, not since I came to the Red Keep as a girl. I would never wish to leave you, My Queen."
The queen tilts her head to the side, a small smile on her lips. She reaches out with her hand and caresses your cheek gently with her slender fingers and you feel them burn in response to her touch. "You are loyal, I will give you that. And I appreciate your commitment." The Queen withdraws her hand and leans back against the tub, her fingers gliding over the water. "And yet, sometimes I look at you and wonder if you're not just a little... bored."
"Never bored, Your Grace."
The queen watches you for a moment, studying your expression, trying to discern how sincere your words are.
"Maybe," she says quietly. "But you have this look in your eyes that says otherwise. Like you are hungry to see the world, that you are tired of being stuck here, tending to my needs every single day."
Your heart begins to pound as you fear what the Queen be thinking. Why was she asking such things? Carefully measuring your response, you say - "I enjoy spending time with you, My Queen. It is true that sometimes I wonder what things might be like, but I do not have a deep need to explore it. I am content."
The Queen smirks at your words, clearly not believing you. "Content?" she repeats. "And is that why some days you look so distracted, almost like your mind is elsewhere?" You feel fear and panic bubbling inside of you. You did not realise that she had noticed your daydreaming. "When you think I don't see you, you're always looking at nothing, just staring out of the window. What are you thinking about then?"
"I...." You falter and avert your gaze, desperately trying to avoid the penetrating green eyes that were fixed on your face.
The queen leans closer to you. She can tell that you're getting flustered, and she finds it amusing. "No lies now," she says casually, but there's a hint of sharpness in her voice. "Answer the question. What goes through your mind during these moments when you think I do not pay attention?"
"I wonder what..." You hesitate before continuing. " I wonder what it would be like if I was in your position."
