"Hey darling." Draco smiles, putting his arm around me.

"Mr. Malfoy." I sigh.

"Hey, you okay?" He furrows his eyebrows, leaning forward.

"Yeah- of course-" I chuckle lightly.

"Hey Lexa! Catch!" Fred throws a ball at me.

I catch it and throw it back. He threw it and the teacher came in.

"Hey! Stop that at once and sit down!" She scolds.

Everyone sits down.

"Give me that ball!" She puts her hands out.

I throw it at a window and the glass shatters.

Everyone gasps but Draco, Fred and George who laugh.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" She gasps.

"It's just...pure mindless vandalism!" I lean back, kicking my feet up on the table.

"Are you mentally deficient!" She huffs.

"If I was mentally deficient- I would've missed!" I smirk.

She glares at me as everyone around me snickers.

"Detention!" She snaps.

I yawn, leaning back into the chair.

"Good morning everyone!" She smiles."Ordinary, wizarding, level examination. O.W.Ls, most commonly know as...Owls!" She flicks her wand at the board before facing us. "Study hard and you will be rewarded!" She smiles. "Fail to do so and the consequences may be...severe!" She gasps, smiling.

Did she just...threaten us?

She uses her magic and gives us each a book.

'Basics for beginners'

What the hell.

Hermione puts her hand up.

"Yes?" She looks at her.

"There is nothing in here about using defensive spells-" She starts.

"Using spells?!" She giggles. "Well I can't imagine why you would need to use spells in my classroom?" She walks towards her.

"We aren't going to use magic?" Ron furrows his eyebrows.

"You're going to be learning about defensive spells in a secure, risk free way" She smiles.

"What use is that? If we're going to be attacked it isn't going to be risk free-" Harry scoffs.

"Student will raise their hands when they speak in my class!" She quickly shuts him down.

"It is the view of the ministry that the theoretical knowledge will be sufficient to get you through your examinations- which after all is what school is for-" She explains.

"And how is theories supposed to prepare us for whats out there!?" I scoff.

"There is nothing out there dear- who would you imagine would want to attack children like yourselves?" She raises her brow.
