"So...Nekoma huh?"

It was early dawn, and two people were standing on the hill where the karasuno used to run for punishment. The ravenette female hummed contentedly as they sat on the grassy ground, enjoying how the cool breeze blew her hair.

"Yeah, 미안해 (mi anhae)...I didn't tell you about moving to Japan."

Juhee turned to face the male next to her, who yawned. "It's fine," [Name] assured, staring at his girlfriend. "However, why did you move here? I mean...there's usually a reason for transferring here from Seoul." [Name] questioned, catching the strange gleam in Juhee's eyes.

Is that regret he saw in Juhee's eyes?

'How much longer will you keep me waiting for you to tell me what you actually feel about me, Juhee?'

The sun shone brightly on both of their faces, masking their own frowns with a smile. "I...want to try something new." Juhee replied.

Both of them knew the hesitation at the answer.

"You go to the same school as him...how do you feel?" Juhee questioned as she hugged her legs and placed her chin on her knees.

"I..."

[Name] began as Juhee stared at him. "I'm not sure." Juhee then saw the frown on [Name]'s usual stoic face. "How come?" She murmured, her voice softening slightly before she returned her gaze to the view.

"I'm not sure how to say this," The taller of the two said, Juhee scoot closer and leaned her weight a little on [Name]. "I think we're getting along, but I get a feeling there's something working against us," [Name] remarked, which Juhee pursed her lips.

'Was it because of me? I can tell you're falling in love with him once more.'

"사랑해 (saranghae)." Juhee heard him say, which she sigh softly and responds. "사랑해 (saranghae)."

They realized something was wrong after they said it for the first time.

It's almost as if saying it now feels wrong.

Who knew that such a lovely and meaningful word could be empty and meaningless?
