Anastasia's POV:
I tugged his hand so he'd walk faster and he kept his hands on his eyes. I led him through the snowy forests heading straight for where we met.

It was now winter several months have passed since we found out we were mates. That week we barely left the bedroom. It's a miracle we still do now because if it were up to Jonah...

"Where are we going?" He asked.

"Wait one more minute." I said laughing.

I stopped snow crunching under my boots and the sweet silence filled us. I had him put down his hands and he looked around.

"This is where we met, right?"

"Yes." I said.

"Why are we here?" He asked curiously.

I looked around nervously trying to make up a lie. "Just thought we'd visit because... it's winter... and it's beautiful here."

He cocked a brow. "Okay..." he said and I knew he sensed that I was lying.

He walked forward admiring the sunset ahead of us. I took a deep breath and pulled out the ring. It was technically for me but I was proposing.

It's very untraditional here but I thought I might as well do it.

I was terrified he might say no and reject me.

I waited patiently kneeling on the snow behind him holding the ring for him to see.

He stood there arms behind his back totally unaware of what was going on. I cleared my throat hoping he'd turn around now because if I had to wait any longer I might lose my nerve.

"What? Hoping to have sex in the forest? I already told you it isn't-" he turned around and his smile slowly faded.

"Jonah." I took a deep breath. "Look I'm not going to say anything stupid or cheesy because frankly, I think I'd start crying," I said huffing out a laugh.

"So I'm just going to cut to the chase... will you marry me?"

He kneeled in front of me and I froze.

Please do not reject me.

He grabbed the ring and slowly slid it onto my finger. "Yes, I will. But with me comes my crown and are you sure you want to be queen? It's a huge responsibility."

I nodded smiling. "I already thought it through and yes. If it means being with you then yes."

He smiled from ear to ear the most beautiful smile I'd ever seen. He grabbed both of my hands and kissed them. "I am happy and honored to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you, Anastasia. The only woman who's ever made me smile, laugh, and roll my eyes in the same sentence, mother to all our kids we'll have in the future, and now my queen."

Kids? He's been thinking about kids.

The thought didn't scare me, it excited me. I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking so far into the future.

I pulled him to me and we sat there in the snow holding each other for what seemed like an eternity. Our bodies fit perfectly together and we whispered little sweet nothings to each other all afternoon.

Now we will be together for the rest of our lives. King and Queen together forever and ever.

We arrived at home and I was going to lunch with the queen but Jonah insisted I go to our bedroom with him first.

I wasn't going to be late for this, I wanted her to like me. She's my husband's mother so it is important for her to like me. Maybe it's all in my head but the point is I knew that he was bringing me to our room for something that would take too long.

"I'm going to lunch with your mother Jonah," I told him as he sat down on the couch.

He pulled me to him so I could stand between his legs. He ran his hands up my gown and I held onto his shoulders so I wouldn't fall.

"Stay for five more minutes." He said as he started kissing my neck.

I pulled him back by his hair and shook my head. "Five minutes is always too long with you."

"That's because you can't control yourself. You always want more than one round." He said.

True...

His finger grazed me from the outside of my panties and I almost gave up. I almost let him take me.

He pulled my panties down not breaking eye contact. He nipped my ear and cupped my sex. I let out a low moan.

Maybe five more minutes...

I glanced at the clock and shook my head. I had to stand my ground or else I'll be very late. "Jonah..."

He nodded and let go of me. The same finger that touched me went to his upper lip as if he were hiding a smile. "Alright then. Go have lunch." He said a little too calmly.

Oh, I'll definitely be paying for this later...
