He hadn't meant for things to get so fucked up.

And deep down, he really did like Ushijima. It was probably a lost cause, he was a married man after all.

But that marriage was anything but stable, and maybe Tendou could help Ushijima change his ways for the better?

But once he had done that, would Ushijima go back to Oikawa and fix his relationship or would he let go of him? Would he want to be with the man that fixed him?

Tendou didn't want to be a bad guy or a homewrecker and at first, he really had no idea Ushijima was married. It kind of tore him apart inside.

Iwaizumi hadn't come back after Ushijima's gathering, he had been mumbling something about an old house. He seemed hesitant yet desperate but Tendou was too deep in what had happened that he didn't think much of it.

Now he was sitting in his apartment alone, sitting on the living room floor and looking down at his phone that held Ushijima's number on the screen.

He wasn't going to call him but he'd like to think that he could one day be that confident man that did.

Right now all he wanted was a hug, Ushijima had hugged him the night they met and it made his chest all warm but then it had hurt at the thought that Ushijima probably never hugs Oikawa.

He didn't want to hurt the brunette but maybe the damage has already been done and he may as well finish off the job...Right?

Plus, apparently, Oikawa had left and gone back to live with his step-brothers, Tendou had been able to catch something like that in Iwaizumi's helpless mumbling last night before the ravenette suddenly disappeared.

---

Getting Oikawa into the house was easy enough, but making sure his dad didn't see him was harder. The elder Oikawa spent most of his days in the office,  barely being home, so at least Toru was safe during the day.

He should've just gone to Matsukawas.

The twins had gone to check whether the house was empty or not, giving Toru a moment to reminisce in his old teenage bedroom. He didn't have many good memories in here. well, as his step-brothers always said, we don't need the memories.

Toru walked to his bedside table and picked up a picture frame he had left there, it was a selfie he had taken of him and Iwaizumi just before their last match, just before they stopped talking to each other.

He hadn't taken any of his belongings with him when he left, as soon as he was discharged from the hospital he had run off, basically disappearing. He hadn't even told the twins where he had gone, they only found out when Atsumu bumped into Oikawa at a bar one night and begged the brunette to come home.

after a long talk, they mutually agreed that going home wasn't the best and that he should stay where he was, with Ushijima, but he had to stay in contact with his brothers.

Atsumu wished he had convinced Oikawa to come home now, or better yet, he would take the money he had been saving since he was twelve and buy a house for Osamu, Toru, and himself. Then everyone could be happy, then everything wouldn't be so messed up.

Toru placed the picture down when he heard his brothers coming back to his room, with a sigh he glanced over at his ensuite, resulting in a pang in his chest, the pain of it will never quite be gone.

he didn't even want to look at that bathroom.
