Chapter 10: Hangout

Nick POV

I wake up in the same position I had fallen asleep in. Karl still breathing contently as he slept. I reach my hand over to my phone to see missed messages from Clay.

Clay: Nick, Karl come on were already here waiting for you

Clay: Me and Alex are going to just go win all the prizes without you

Clay: WAKE UP

The rest of his messages were just spams of random letters.

Nick: Im awake, we will be there in like 30 minutes

I turn my phone off and gently shake Karl. "Karl? Cmon wake up we need to get ready to leave" He grumbles but rubs his eyes, looking up at me.

"What time is it?" he asks and I double check my phone. "Its almost 11:30, we were supposed to meet the others 30 minutes ago"

"Ill go shower but you need to stay awake, go get dressed" I state, turning on the main light making him squint, then walking into the bathroom for a shower.

Karl POV

I finally got a decent amount of sleep and felt relatively good. After a few more minutes laying in bed I finally get up.

I walk over to my bag and take out a purple hoodie and black jeans, putting them on and ruffling up my hair so I didn't have bed hair.

I put my socks on as Nick finally walks out from the bathroom, his hair was still a little damp but he was wearing a white and black t-shirt with black joggers. "You ready to go" he asks smiling and I nod.

Today will either be a really good day or an emotional rollercoaster, knowing us probably a mixture of both.

Clay POV

After playing a few of the games waiting for the others to show up we decided to take a break and get some food since it was basically lunch.

We ordered a hotdog each and sat on a bench. There wasn't much else we could do until Nick and Karl showed up.

Another 15 minutes went by before we caught sight of them. We went over and met up with them before then taking a walk around. "Lets see what stuff we can win" Nick smiled, walking over to a basketball hoop game.

"You guys wanna do that one?" Karl asks, pointing over to where tin cans are stacked "Yeah go on then" I smile, Alex coming with us.

Multiple games later we sat back on a bench, only 4 toys between us. Nick had won 2 and Alex didn't win any. With that being said we had a lot of fun, it was a good day out.

Before driving back to mine we picked up some food for the way back, eating it in the car. It wasn't long before I pulled up outside my house.

"Im just gonna quickly talk to my mum, you guys can head upstairs" I say as we all climb out the car.

Karl POV

I sat on Clay's bed as the other two messed around on his computer. I smiled at their stupidity as they tried looking at his search history.

"Hey! Stop snooping!" Clay shouted as he walked in, making them both jump out of their skin. "My mum is just finding the air pump for the spare mattress and she will bring it up to us" he states, sitting next to me.

"So let's play some Minecraft for the time being, Its only 8 we have time to kill" Nick suggests, turning on my Xbox. "Ill go see if your mum needs any help" I say as they start loading up the game.

I walk down the stairs and see Clay's mum with the pump and mattress on the table and walk over to her. "Hey, do you need some help?" "Oh no, that's alright sweetie I've got it, did you boys want any food or anything?" she asks as I take the mattress and pump from her anyway.

"We're good, we ate before we came here, I'll let you know if we need anything" I smile as I carry it up the stairs, dropping it into the floor.

I attach the pump to the mattress and turn it on allowing it to actually become a mattress instead of a lump.

Once it was done I took the pump out and moved it out of the way, putting the cap back over the hole and sitting on top of the mattress.

I sat contently watching the others play Minecraft, laughing along with them as they tried killing each other. That was until I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket.

I pulled my phone out to see who had messaged me since all the boys were with me. I was surprised to see an old name pop up on my screen.

Darryl: Hey Karl its Darryl

Darryl: I don't know if you deleted my number

Darryl: We need to talk, Its important
