Clay POV:

Somehow Georges mum had convinced us to go talk to her. It was about midday when I received her message about the 4 of us going to see her and we were currently pulled up outside her house.

No one moved. We all waited for someone to get out but no one did. This was the day they all dreaded. The day they would have to talk about him.

Nick finally got out of the car and we all followed, walking up to the door and knocking before being let inside. "Thank you boys for coming..I know it was a bit last minute" she sighed, sitting in the living room and we all took a seat on the sofa.

"No need to thank us, what did you want to talk to us about?" I asked, unsure on the route this conversation was going to take. "Its about George.."

As the light peered though the curtains it highlighted under her eyes. The tear stains were now clear with concern laced in her voice. "What about George?" Karl asked with an unsteady voice.

"It might be time we have a gravestone made you know?" tears started to flow from her eyes "I think we could all use some closure" she tried to smile but it broke my heart.

"So that's it..?" Alex chimed in "Were just going to loose all hope?" she simply nodded, this wasn't an easy conversation for any of us. "Its been a year now, theres no new evidence and-" her voice breaks and she tries to breathe "and you boys need to be able to move on, your so young and you have bright futures ahead of you"

Nick stood up and walked over to her, giving her a hug and doing something we hadn't seen in a long while. Cry. It was enough to make the rest of start crying too as we joined into the hug.

"I want you boys to know that I care about you, Im always here for anything you need" We all held on tighter, no one wanted to let go.

No one wanted to let go

Of the hug

Or George..

After dropping everyone back home I made my own way home. I took my shoes off by the door and walked over into the kitchen, sitting on the stool and running my hands through my hair, my head hanging low.

"Clay?" I hear my mothers voice approaching me but I refused to lift my head up. "Clay are you okay? Did everything go okay at Jackie's?" I felt an arm go across my back and I lifted my head up to face my mothers.

"She- she wants to make a grave for him..so we can all move along but we know its not that easy its never that easy" I say, trying not to let another flood of tears come out as she takes a seat beside me.

"Ofcourse it wont be easy, but its already hard it cant get any worse..getting the chance to mourn him will help you move on with your life" she tries to comfort me but I shake her off, standing up from my seat.

"I don't want to move on with my life mum, I just want my best friend back" I felt a tear fall from my eye, I ran over to the stairs ignoring my mums calls for me, shutting my bedroom door and flopping onto the bed.

Alex POV

I sat on my bed, contemplating checking on everyone else but deciding against it. Everyone needed their space to process the recent conversation and it wasn't easy to hear.

I looked around my room and spotted a plastic yellow duck sitting on one of my shelves, covered with a layer of dust. I got up and went over to it, carefully picking it up and wiping the dust off.

"Your such a cheater" Alex complained as George kept winning prizes "Am not its called being cracked at the craft" George smirked throwing his new teddy into the air and catching it "Dude this isn't even Minecraft" Alex rolled his eyes, his hands empty from the lack of winning. "Tell you what, find a prize you want and I'll win it for you" Alex smiled nudging Georges shoulder "Deal" he laughed as he went looking.

"I want that duck" Alex pointed to a plastic duck amongst the rows of teddy's "Out of everything you pick that?" George laughs, walking over to the game to play it "Hey you said anything I wanted" Alex watched as George got ready to fish out other plastic ducks from the water "I just thought you'd pick something cooler" George stated, delicately pulling them out "Ducks are cool" George laughed "Okay Quackity" he responded with sarcasm.

"Quackity?" Alex asked confused "Yeah its my new nickname for you, I think it suits you" George smiled, handing me the duck he just won. "You know I don't hate it" Alex smiled, following George to go meet up with the others.
