THE TURNING POINT (S1:E10)

At the Salvatore Boarding House, I'm with Damon in the parlor room, staring out the window as we're talking.

Damon : So you're back to normal now?

Sam : Yeah, I guess. Switch is flipped on, my episode's over...

Damon : Sammy, what the hell was all that about anyway? Those hallucinations? You were completely out of it.

Sam : It's a curse, something that's supposed to break me and as you've seen, it is very effective.

Damon : Who cursed you?

Sam : Don't worry, I already killed him and most of the times, I'm just fine. It's only when, for example, the woman you loved for as long as you can remember, Lexi in this case, tells you that you are not good enough, you go off the rails and kill 26 people in a fit of rage and alcohol and then, as the cherry on top, your brother calls to tell you that he killed said woman you love so much. You get what I mean?

Damon : So you're fine now?

Sam : I sure hope so.

That's when Stefan comes in and sees us at the window. His attention, like always, is completely on Damon, who is planning to leave town.

Stefan: So any idea of where you'll go?

Damon: I don't know. London, maybe. See some friends.

Stefan: You don't have any friends, Damon.

Damon: You're right, Stefan. I only have you and Sammy. So, where are we goin'?

Stefan: We are not going anywhere. I'm gonna live my life as far away from you as possible.

Damon then looks at me with an eyebrow raised.

Sam : I'll come with you, Damon, don't worry. But, for the love of God, not London. Got a bad reputation over there?

Damon : Which is?

Sam : Ever heard about 'Jack The Ripper'?

Damon : Alright, so let's scrap London.

He then walks over to Stefan and faces him.

Damon: Listen to that, Stefan. You, Sammy and I. We're a team! We could travel the world together. We could try out for "The Amazing Race".

Stefan: Mmmm, that's funny. Seriously, where are you going? Because we are not staying in this town.

The doorbell rings. Damon and Stefan glance at the door and back at each other. Stefan leaves the parlor and opens the front door. Sheriff Forbes is outside.

Sheriff Forbes: I'm here to see Damon.

Stefan: Uh, sure. Ok.

Damon comes to the doorway. I stay at the parlor, watching what happens.

Damon: Sheriff. What a surprise.

Sheriff Forbes: Sorry to bother you, but we need to talk.

Damon: Come in.

The Sheriff enters the house. Damon leads her into the back courtyard, away from Stefan and me, so we use our vampire hearing to listen in on their conversation from the next room.

Looks like there's another vampire strolling around Mystic Falls, a really sloppy one. This could become a problem real quick.

After the Sheriff is gone and Damon shuts the front door. Stefan gets up immediately and vamp speeds over to Damon, grabs him by his shirt and holds him against the door.
