I open the door to the cell in our basement, seeing Liz Forbes sitting on the ground.
Sam : I brought you some water.
I hand it to her and thankfully, she takes it and drinks.
Liz : Thank you, Samuel.
I scoff, then sit down on the chair opposite to her.
Sam : We gotta talk, Liz. About Caroline.
Liz : Please, I really don't-
Sam : That was a proclamation, not a question. We'll make you forget everything anyway, but I want you to know that it was my blood which turned your daughter into a vampire.
She looks at me in shock.
Liz : You did this?
Sam : In the hospital, after the car crash, I gave her my blood. No one knows why, but vampire blood heals humans from pretty much everything. I did that for you, I healed your daughter. Do you know how someone turns into a vampire?
She shakes her head.
Sam : They have to die with vampire blood in their system. Your daughter got killed by a psychotic slut, Liz. Don't you get that? She was killed! Your little girl was murdered!
Tears roll down her face while she shakes her head more frantically now.
Sam : She didn't choose this life for herself. It was forced upon her and when I heard what happened yesterday... you denying that she's your daughter... Liz, it makes me sick to my stomach. This is, without the hint of a doubt, the most difficult time in her entire life and you dare to deny Caroline your motherly love? I never had a mother, but I had a father who hated me and let me tell ya, I resent this man till this day. Your memory will be erased, Caroline will remember everything you say to her.
Liz : I... I just can't look at her the same way, Sam. I look at my daughter and all I see is a monster.
I scoff at this.
Sam : Geez, Liz, get a grip! It doesn't matter what you see when you look at her. I don't demand of you to ignore everything that happened and move on, I'm telling you to get your act together and at least pretend that you don't hate your daughter for what she was forced to become... before you say something that's irreversible. Think about it. A few days from now, you won't remember what you said or what she is, all you'll feel is your own daughter resenting you and you have no idea why. Don't mess it up, Liz. For Caroline's sake and for your own.
I stand up from the chair and leave the cell, closing the door behind me.

There is a masquerade at the Lockwood Mansion and after talking with Liz, I volunteered to help. It was either that or getting day-drunk again out of pure boredom.
Not that I have a problem with the second option, but the first option includes inevitably bumping into Mason Lockwood and after what happened the other day, me and Uncle Mason still have a thing or two to discuss.
I'm stepping into the mansion and immediately, save a girl who's carrying boxes from tripping and embarrassing herself. Not just any girl though.
Sam : Careful, Witchy. I heard the stuff in those boxes are antique and pretty expensive.
She looks at me with wide eyes, while I still hold her in my arms.
Bonnie : Sam? What are you doing here?
I let go of her and lean my shoulder on the wall.
Sam : I volunteered to help. Carrying a few boxes around, setting up some lights, take bloody revenge on someone who tried to kill me, you know... the usual.
