Sam : Emily?

I can't believe it. There she is, standing in my room, smiling at me with that same motherly smile she had back in 1864 whenever she cared for me.

Emily : Hello, Samuel. It's been a while, hasn't it?

I slowly take a step forward.

Sam : I've finally gone insane, haven't I?

Then she says something that makes every cell in my body flinch.

Emily : Let me go, Sam.

My eyes widen. No, not this again. Not those damn hallucinations again.

The last time this happened, it was back when Lexi died. There's absolutely nothing that could've triggered this.

Sam : No... not again...

She dissappears, fading into thin air, just to reappear at my desk, snickering.

Emily : Sorry, maybe that joke was in bad taste.

The way she's laughing and the genuine look in her eyes...

Sam : You bitch.

I vamp over to her and immediately hug her with all the strength a human is able to endure.

I can feel her. I can genuinely feel her for the first time since almost 150 years. The woman who was like a mother to me.

Emily : Now that's the reaction I was hoping for, my sweet, little boy.

When I let go of her, she dissappears again, but unlike before, doesn't reappear again.

Sam : Emily? Emily!

Safe to say, whatever this sudden appearance of Emily Bennett meant, it wasn't an illusion.

Because when I got downstairs, my dear older older brother was tied to a chair, claiming to have been tortured by none other than Mason Lockwood.

After I untangled him, we immediately went to find Bonnie.

I don't really wanna talk to her, I've been successfully avoiding her like the plague.

But when ghosts start appearing everywhere because she messed up the other side by bringing the dead, she's gotta fix this.

When we find her, she's helping Caroline put up some lanterns for yet another grant event in Mystic Falls. Damon and I pull up near them them in Damon's car.

Damon: Greetings, blondie. Witchy. I think you got your voodoo wires all crossed when you got rid of Vicki Donovan.

Bonnie looks at me for a second, then concentrates on Damon again.

Bonnie: What do you mean, why?

Damon: Because I'm pretty sure I just got spit-roasted by Mason Lockwood's ghost.

Bonnie: What?

Caroline: And why would you think that?

Damon: Maybe because he chained me to a chair and shoved a hot poker in my chest. Let's just say I'm having déjà vu.

Sam : And while that was happening, Emily Bennett came to pay me a visit.

My Ex's eyes widen.

Bonnie : Emily contacted you?

Sam : Sure did. Even pulled a prank on me. Got me good, not gonna lie.

Caroline looks at Bonnie.

Caroline: I thought you said that ghosts couldn't physically interact with people.
