15-Shortcake

Cole and I agreed to spend the day together. 

I think he's trying to see what to get me for my birthday. The other day Jasmine let it slip that this Friday I was turning twenty. 

I really didn't need him to know. I haven't really celebrated a birthday since my eighteenth. Last year it just didn't feel that important. 

This year however Jasmine decided she's throwing me a party. She also invited everyone we know, which actually isn't a lot of people. 

Well a lot of people I know. She knows too many people. Which is why I know this party will blow. I don't want to spend the day around a bunch of strangers. 

I like spending the day with friends and family. Bailey always got that. 

Jasmine has always been big on the theatrics though. I think I'll enjoy the party though. Maybe.

I mean she'll be there and the band. Plus I think she invited Louis, I really don't know him well. 

All I know about him is that he fishes. Jasmine told me that during one of our late night talks. She never brings him around me though. I can't tell if its personal or just how they choose to have their relationship. 

She says they don't go on actual dates out because it feels too personal. I think everything feels too personal to her. 

Her and Kai still hang out a lot too. She claims they are just friends and I think I believe her. I don't know her whole view on relationships has always been in the grey area. 

In the year and a half I've known her she's never been in a committed relationship. Hell she's never done more than a one night stand. 

I think she really like Louis though, so I'm not too worried. 

Cole texts to let me know he's on his way to pick me up. 

We're going to the fair in town. 

I decide to wear this cute green and white sun dress. It has spaghetti straps and comes down to just past my knees. There's a slit on the right side. 

I pair it with my Doc Martens and decide to curl my hair. 

Jasmine and I went to the fall fair last year. She ended up eating too much chili cheese fries and threw up on the tilt a whirl. 

I'll never let her live it down.

Grabbing my bag and my phone I hear a knock on the door. 

Opening it Cole stands on the other side. 

He's wearing black cuffed jeans, white vans, a white t-shirt and a black jacket. 

Why does he get to look so good? Also why is he hiding his delicious tattoos?

Delicious...oh gosh I am turning into Jasmine. 

"You look pretty shortcake." He says looking at my dress. I smile, "You don't look too bad your self."

He takes my hand and leads me down stairs and to his car. 

We drive listening to music and talking. 

Turns out Cole has never tried cotton candy. Poor thing, that will change tonight. 

After we get our wrist bands we head straight for the bumper cars. 

I love bumper cars. 

Cole takes the orange one and I take the purple one. "You are going down, Aaron." I say smirking and he glares at me, "Don't call me by my middle name, Scarlett."

I roll my eyes, "Same goes for you."

We should not have told each other our middle names. 

The game starts and I drive right into him sending Cole back. 

I laugh not paying attention until I feel myself being bumped back. 

Oh no he didn't.

I steer around him hitting him from behind. He flies forwards. Bahahaha. 

Then I am bumped from behind, not by Cole though. 

Nope by a little blond boy. He laughs evilly. 

I feel like the right think to do would be to not bump him back. 

I bump him back. 

His car spins hitting the side wall. 

"Did you just hit a kid?" Cole asks staring at me like I have two heads. 

Oops.

I nod, "What are you going to do about it?" I taunt and he bumps straight in to my car, which in turn bumps into the little boys car. 

"Whoops my bad." I say to the boy before driving straight in to Coles car. 

Obviously by the end I win. Cole says there are no winners but he's just upset he didnt win. 

Clearly. 

After that we head to the pirate ship. the pendulum ride that goes back and forth. 

I hate this ride but it was Cole's choice. 

We go on a few more rides before deciding to eat. I get a chili cheese hot dog and I make Cole get one too. Then I get cotton candy and force Cole to try it. 

He wasn't a fan. Weirdo. 

"This is disgusting shortcake." Cole says handing me the stick of cotton candy back. 

I narrow my eyes at him, "Liar it's the best sweet treat, well besides chocolate covered gummy bears."

He shakes his head, "Those are gross to."

I stop walking, Cole turns to me confused. "Take that back, take that back right now mister." I say and he just rolls his eyes. 

"Babe I am sure you're the only person on the planet that actually eats chocolate covered gummy bears." He says and I take chunk of cotton candy sticking it into my mouth. 

"So you're saying I am keeping them in business?" I ask and he nods, "Have you seen how many you eat? The other day you went through two bags before we finished one movie."

Ok so that was true. It wasn't my fault though the movie was just really interesting. I didnt realize I ate that much until I went to grab more and realized they were all gone. 

"Touche." I say and we head over to the ring toss." I win and decide to get the stuffed pig. 

This is so Bailey's Christmas present, she can put him next to Kork her stuffed frog. 

The fair ends soon so Cole and I decide to go in the Ferris wheel.
