it really happened. I heard a sharp inhale, and it wasn’t me. I felt movement, and it wasn’t me. Someone touched my back, and it wasn’t me. I looked my eyes widened as I looked up at her. Her eyes were finally open, she was finally awake. Tears ran down my face like a rainstorm. She snatched the breathing tube from her mouth, and looked around. All I could do was smile.

“Lydia!” I said kissing her a thousand different times. She felt her stomach, then looked at me.

“Paige” she said with a smile. Her voice was kind of weak, but it was music to my ears.

“Baby you’re back. Thank God you’re back” I said.

“Now you didn‘t think you were gonna get rid of me that easily now did ya” she kidded. I couldn’t respond, all I could do was kiss her, and hug her. Oh my God, what a relief it was to hear her voice just one more time.

“Oh my gosh! You don’t understand how much I missed you. Baby oh my God!” I said relieved.

“What happened? How long have I been out? Is my baby ok” Lydia said touching her stomach.

“Your baby is fine Lydia. Don’t you remember falling from the cliff” I said.

“I fell from a cliff, wait what?” Lydia said utterly confused.

“It doesn’t matter, you’re fine now. You’re fine” I said kissing her some more. It felt so good to have her back with me. Fully functional, it was just so great. Thank you God for everything. Thank you so much.

*now back to Lydia*

I woke up with Paige in tears, and my back in pain. All I remember was me falling from somewhere. According to Paige I had been out for a whole week and three days. Paige was so thrilled that I was back from where ever I went. She kept kissing me, hugging me, and just loving me. Which I didn’t mind, hell even though I can’t remember shit, I did miss her.

“I love you so much baby, and I’m so glad you’re back” Paige said.

“I missed you too honey doll, and it was nice waking up to you in my arms” I smiled. Then the doctor came in, and looked amazed.

“So you’re really up” he said with a smile.

“Yes sir I am” I said.

“Ok well let’s check some stuff out, and see how you are” he said.

“Let’s go” I said. Paige gave me a kiss on the cheek, then got out of bed.

“Ok tell me your full name” the doctor said.

“Lydia Juliana Weston” I said.

“Good. Your birthday?” he said.

“May 23” I said.

“Your age” he said.

“Last time I checked I was 19” I said with a smile.

“Your parents name” he said as he marked some stuff down on his clipboard.

“Meryl and David Weston” I said.

“Wonderful, now let’s see about your movement” the doctor said. He moved down, and uncovered my legs. I felt the cool air hit them.

“Tell me if you feel this” the doctor said squeezing my legs.

“I feel it” I said.

“Wonderful. Can you wiggle your toes” he said. I wiggled my toes, but when I did a huge pain shot through my back. I winced at the pain.
