“So I’ll be at your place to pick you up, so be ready” Cat said.

“I will” I said.

“And have you been sleeping, I see bag under your eyes” Cat said.

“Yes I’ve been sleeping” I said.

“You need to get lots of rest, sleep deprivation could cause stress levels to go up, and we both know you don’t need stress right now” Cat said biting my donut.

“Wait did you just bite my donut? That was mine” I said.

“It’s mine now, I’ll see tomorrow. Be ready, and take care” Cat said getting up and leaving with my donut, and my cappuccino. So I just been robbed of my donut, and my cappuccino, perfect.

“Hi Lydia” Paige said sitting in front of me.

“Hey ” I said.

“Guess what I did yesterday?” Paige said.

“What’s that” I said not really caring.

“I bought new shoes! Look!” Paige said sticking her foot out. She had on these colorful black, turquoise, neon pink, lime green, dark blue high stop skater style shoes. They looked absolutely hideous to me, but she looked at them as if she admired them.

“Wow, those are nice” I said lying through my teeth.

“I know right! I love them! The best shoes ever” Paige said super happy.

“Good for you” I said.

“So Lydia, what are you doing this weekend” Paige said.

“Nothing, absolutely nothing. I’m off for both my jobs. So I’ll be doing nothing” I said.

“Great! I want you to come with me, to a concert!” Paige squealed.

“What” I said confused.

“You heard me! Come with me to a concert. It’ll be great, I have an extra ticket, and I want you to come” Paige said.

“Why me?” I asked.

“Because we’re friends duh!” Paige said with a smile. We’re friends? I never thought of Paige and me as friends. I mean we talked every now and then, I thought we were more like associates. But she had a free ticket to a show, and I had nothing to do this weekend.

“Oh well cool, I mean yeah I’ll go” I said.

“Perfect! I’ll pick you up this Friday about eight” Paige said.

“See ya then” I said as she got up and walked away. Well that was weird. Today my boss had me on the floor, I was a waitress, instead of running the cash register, he had me on the floor. Which was even harder since I was pregnant, Frank that bastard knew what he was doing. But the up about this was people gave me even more tips since I was pregnant. They felt sorry for me I guess, I was getting rich off of their pity. By the end of the day, my feet hurt like hell, and I just wanted to go home. But I headed to my second job at the butcher’s shop.
“Hi Mitch” I said clocking in.

“Hey Lydia! Glad you’re here. We have a huge order to fill. A church called, said they were having this huge picnic, and they needed lots of meat. So you know what that means” Mitch said.

“Yep, busy day ahead of us” I said.

“You got it, so go ahead, wash up, and we’ll get right to work” Mitch said.

“Okay” I said going to the sink to wash my hands.

Mitch and I began to fill the order. As we did, Mitch began to tell me about this new lady he was dating. Her name was Leslie, and she was a secretary. According to Mitch, she was really nice, and he was really starting to like her.
