“You sure na ihahatid mo ako sa Manila? ” I asked Atlas for the nth time.

He sighed while his eyes focused on the road.

“Yes, and I might not see you for a long time... so, rest okay? ” He said.

Tears forms on the corner of my eyes and I looked away from him. I didn't expect, this would be hard.

I hold his hand instead and just closed my eyes. I almost cried when he kissed the back of my palm and whispers some word of affection.

Oh God! Tell me, do I deserve this man?

Hindi ko na siya nilingon at nakatulog na rin ako sa byahe.

“Chelsea... we're here... ” I heard Atlas waking me up.

I roamed my eyes and we're on the room?

“I didn't wake you up, you're in my condo. ” He said.

Agad akong bumangon at kinuha ang bagahe ko at lumabas ng kwarto niya.

“Chelsea, where are you going? ” He asked me and grabbed my arms.

“I'm leaving, thanks for accommodating me here. Pero hindi ito ang pinunta ko dito, gusto ko nang tapusin lahat ng ito.” Sabi ko at tinanggal ang pagkahawak niya sa braso ko.

“May bukas pa, Chelsea. Saka, delikado na rin lumabas ng ganitong oras. It's almost 12 AM. ”

“But there's some hotel that is open at this hour, Atlas.” I claimed.

“But you're a woman! Alam kong kaya mo na ang sarili mo, pero nag-aalala pa rin ako.”

Natigilan ako dito at bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. Umiiling-iling ako at inirapan siya.

“Okay, let's have a deal. I have a spare room at my condo, and you can occupy it while you're staying here in Manila—”

“Are you joking, Atlas?”

“Let me finished first, okay?”I shut my mouth and nodded.

“But you'll pay your stay here, like on some hotel. But food is free.” He offered.

“Seryoso ka, Atlas? Look at your high maintenance condo! Tapos gagawin mong parang hotel lang? Sige, magkano ang renting fee? ”

“₱2,000 per night. ”

“Niloloko mo ako ngayon, Atlas. You know what, you should better sleep and let me find some hotel to stay in. Good night, and thank you—ATLAS!”

He pinned me on the wall, and he just closed his eyes. Bumuntong hininga pa siya at tumango-tango pa bago dumilat.

“Okay. ₱5,000.”

“₱6,000.” madiin kong sabi.

“₱6,500.” Napipilitan niyang sabi at natutuwa na ako sa kawalan ng pasensya niya.

“₱7,000.” I said.

“Chelsea!”

“Okay, ₱6,500. Magbabayad na lang ako kapag aalis na ako. ”

Umaalis ako mula sa pagka-corner niya saakin at tinalikuran ko siya.

“Saan yung spare room mo? ” I asked him.

“Sa katabi ng room ko.” He simply said and I knew he's staring at every move I take.

Kabado akong naglakad patungo sa kwarto na sinasabi niya. Binuksan ko ang pinto at bago ako pumasok ay sinilip ko siya at nginitian.
