The minute Landon and I walked through the front door, everything happening around us seemed to stop.
Sean was glaring, Brian was confused, and Ian...well he was too busy stuffing his face with food already to even notice anything was happening.
"You." Sean sneered. "Here to break Franny's heart again?"
"I don't think that's even possible anymore." I mumble under my breath.
I expect Landon to send a rude reply back, but I'm surprised when he just stands there and smiles, as if Sean hadn't said anything. "It's nice to see you too."
"Um, well we're going to talk now, so if you guys don't mind." I drag Landon up the stairs.
"Wow, you're room hasn't changed a bit." He walks around, examining my trophies.
"Please don't touch them." More voice coming out more harsh than expected. "Sorry."
"First time you'd ever said sorry to me, but I understand, I'm a messed up jerk." He looks up at me, like he's waiting for me to agree with him, but all I send back is a small nod. "You're probably wondering why I dragged my dumb ass over here to try to get you back. I still have these stupid thoughts that one day, we could get passed everything that happened and get back together, but I'm stupid for thinking that. I love you and I always want you to know that. You deserve someone better, someone who doesn't...who doesn't...lets just say someone who's not like me.
"Landon, I don't get it." I stare confusedly at him.
"What don't you get?"
"If you're not here to get me back, then why are you here?"
He sighs and scratches the back of his neck. "I came here for your forgiveness. Ever since that day, all I can remember is the disgusted look you had on your face, and that made me angry. I didn't want you looking at me like I was some monster. I want your forgiveness, no, I need your forgiveness. Please." His eyes were starting to water. "I just want to be friends."
"But, but...I don't like you." Geez Fran, can you get any harsher than that."I'm sorry, that didn't come out right."
"No, no, I get it, I'm not surprised. You're suppose to hate me."
"Hate is a sin." I say innocently.
Landon chuckles. "Yeah it is, but everyone hates now and than. Thinking it over, I can't believe I almost forced you to have sex with me. You were that innocent, Catholic, goody, daddy's girl. You're still that, no offense."
"It's fine." I laugh nervously. I didn't want to tell him about what happened between me and Sean. That would just ruin the moment, but then again, I was known for ruining moments. I sigh a little too loudly. "I forgive you."
"You what?" He asks completely shocked as I was.
"I forgive you, and yes we can try to be friends, but no stupid moves." I playfully wagged a finger at him.
"Yeah, yeah! Wow! Really?" I nod. "Oh my Go-" I give him a stern look. "I mean oh my gosh! Fran." He walks over and pulls me into an awkward hug, but it becomes less awkward as I relax in his embrace. "I missed you so much." He whispers into my hair.
"I know."
"Wow, ok, I see how it is." He acts hurt, placing a hand to his heart.
"Oh shut up." I smack his arm softly.
"Ow!" He screeches.
I was in love with a baby. I roll my eyes. "Are you coming downstairs or not? I'm making dinner." I look at him from the top of the stairs.
"I'd like that." He smiles and follows after me.
Now we just have to convince Sean. Let's do this shit.
