I was pacing around the dorm for what seemed like hours, yelling profanities underneath my breath.
"Franny, what's going on? Can you calm down for a moment?" Andy laid a hand on my shoulder, that I easily swatted away. "Franny."
"I'm sorry, but Ian took Sean, and Sean didn't even think of telling me that he was leaving."
"I don't understand. What's the big deal?" She probably regretted asking that, because she took a step back. "He's going to come back. I mean, so he's with Ian,he's safe, so that's what's important."
"No, you don't get it."
"Then what is it? Tell me." She frowned.
"Ian..."
"Yes...what about Ian?"
"Ian took Sean back home, to Wisconsin, but I don't know why. He told me my parents wanted me to come back so they can talk to me about something, but I refused, so I guess he took Sean instead." I explained.
"I still don't get it. It's not like he's going to murder Sean or something. I've known Ian for awhile now, probably not as long as you've had, but Ian wouldn't do anything." She tried convincing me.
"But Sean has nothing to do with this. I haven't even talked to my parents yet to see why they wanted me to fly over." I sigh, letting my head fall into my hands. "And when I asked Sean where he was, he didn't tell me the truth. Just said he was out and would be back."
"Well maybe you should call you're parents then. If Ian did take Sean back to Wisconsin, we can ask you're parents if they're really there."
"You're right. Hand me my phone?" I asked.
"Here." She gently hands me the iPhone. "I could leave if you want."
"No, it's ok. I think I need someone to be here with me if our conversation gets too out of hand." I take my time dialing in my parents number, before placing it over my ear.
It rings three times, before there was an answer. "Franny. Why didn't call us? Your father and I were worried. Ian said you would call, but you didn't. How's college?"
Seriously mom?
"I'm sorry I didn't call. I was wondering if Ian had brought Sean there." I heard shuffling around in the background.
"Where? Here?" I nodded, but realize she wouldn't be able to see that. I answered with a yes. "Oh, well, yes, they are here. Why didn't come along? Me and you're father need to talk to you."
"You can talk to me through the phone."
There was a knock at the door. I looked up to see Andy opening the door for Drew. Drew quickly glanced my way, before asking if we had seen Sean.
"Franny are you still there?"
"Huh? Yes mom, I'm still here. So what is it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked her, and watching Andy gesture to the door that she was leaving. "Where are you going?" I put the phone down for a few.
"Oh, um, we have to get going for the dinner with my family. If you want to come, you can when you're done." She whispered, Drew still by her side, agreeing for me to come.
"Later." I dismissed it. What a good friend. "What was it that you wanted to talk about?"
"Your father and I have decided sooner or later you'll be getting married," Slow down. "and we found this amazing young man that would be willing to be wedded to you."
Hold up.
"What?!"
"Darling it's for the best."
