Miss

Like yesterday or the day before, Shinichi woke up like a zombie. Searching for his coffee. Taking a bath and wearing his clothes. The only difference today was he needed to change his left hand bandage. He looked at the calendar and smiled.

"It's tomorrow."

Then, frowned.

"That's mean I need to wait for another 24 hours"

He sighed thinking of that thought. He made himself another coffee. While sipping, he took out his phone and read some text that he received last night.

RAN
You better BE at Poirot at 12 tomorrow, Shinichi.
I'll be waiting for you.

He deadpanned when reading the text. It was a simple text but knowing Ran, he could see what would happened once he arrived there.

My ears going to be hurt later.

SHINICHI
Alright alright.

Later he opened the second text.

HATTORI
KUDO!!!!
What's up with the news I heard?!
You got stabbed?!
How can you be so careless?!

SHINICHI
Relax, Hattori.
He only hit my left palm.
And he was trying to hurt the hostage.
It can't be helped.

HATTORI
Liar! I know the whole story.
They said you were dozing off and turned to the culprit when you heard his scream!
You were lucky that he got your palm only.
He'll come back tomorrow so stop with your love sickness.

SHINICHI
I know that.

He felt a little bit annoyed with his best friend's text and opened another text message. A smile appeared on his face this time.

KAITO
Shin-chan~ how've you been?
I miss you so much!
Can't wait to be back at home.
I hope you're here.
Do you miss me?

Shinichi giggled. He was glad that Kaito didn't know about yesterday's incident or he might have cancelled his own show just to check on him. His magician was a protective person after all.

SHINICHI
Of course I don't miss you.
Idiot.

KAITO
Shin-chan meanie!
I'm missing you right now and you don't!

He chuckled, imagining Kaito's face right now. Then, he heard someone open his door and be greeted by Haibara.

"Kudou-kun. You. Don't eat yet, do you?"

She asked with raising one of her eyebrows and Shinichi waved his injured hand.

"Don't worry. I'll go Poirot later with Ran"

"When?"

"At 12?"

Haibara let out a huff with Shinichi's answer.

"You need to eat breakfast. That's lunch. You're lucky that I brought you some food. Later, don't forget to go to Hakase's house. I wanna check your wound because the bandage looks ugly. Am I clear?"

"Urghhh I got it"

Shinichi whined, hearing Haibara's words. After the check up, he went to the cafe to meet Ran and as expected, Ran kept his ear full. She talked about his sleep, eating and cases the most. She was worried seeing how pale her best friend was, how his eyes were like panda eyes and of course with his left palm being bandaged.

Shinichi knew she was worried but it couldn't be helped! He missed Kaito and like he would tell that to anyone. Without Kaito he couldn't sleep as much as when Kaito was with him. He didn't have any appetite to eat. He was lonely without him. He kept thinking about him. He needed Kaito. Then, he was about to stand up and Of course, someone needed to scream after that.

After solving a case - Correction three cases, Shinichi went back home. Opened his door weakly and

"I'm back."

"Welcome back, Shinichi"

Shinichi froze with the sudden welcome. He threw his shoes and bag aside, running towards the familiar voice.

"Surprise?"

Kaito smirked seeing Shinichi's surprised face. He was in the kitchen. Kaito stopped stirring his hot chocolate and opened his arms wide. Shinichi without a second thought just ran towards Kaito and hugged him tightly. Kaito just chuckled and hugged back.

"You're such a liar. I thought you didn't miss me?"

Shinichi just muffled something against his chest. He sounded annoyed and then looked up to Kaito.

"How?"

"Well, the producer suddenly got into an accident and cancelled the show. So, I thought 'I should surprise you' so here I am."

Kaito shrugged off and after a while Shinichi pulled out from the hug. He moved to the dining table and sat. He smiled at Kaito when Kaito gave him a cup of coffee.

"Thank you, Kaito. I-"

He stopped and blushed. Kaito, who just sat down in front of him, put his face on his palm. He watched Shinichi and smiled softly.

"Hm?"

"I missed you"

"I know~ You even got injured, right~?"

He purred at Shinichi and took Shinichi's left hand that was bandaged. Shinichi gave a horror look. The smile which was once soft was now replaced with a scary smile.

"I saw a bloody bandage in the dustbin. I asked our lovely neighbour about it. You know what she said, you were dozing off around so much yesterday and got stabbed on the palm. Why didn't I hear anything about this? Plus, your eyes have eye bags and you're thinner than the last time I saw you."

Shinichi had inverted his eyes just now, trying to peek at his lover's expression. Kaito gave him a wide KID grin and that made Shinich shivered.

"Care to explain, Shinichi-kun~?"

Ah yes. Another oneshot with Shinichi misses Kaito because Kaito kept busy with his magician work.
