Where Are You Going?

Notes:
1) Ran and Aoko know about their secrets and have forgiven them.
2) Ran and Haibara being Shinichi's protective sister and Aoko being Kaito's mother hen.
3) This is inspired by Horimiya ep 4 when Hori got sick

Since it was holiday and both Shinichi's protective sisters were busy, Kaito asked Aoko to wake him up earlier than normal. He wanted to check his detective boyfriend as there would be no one who would update his condition today to him.

When Shinichi was nowhere in the kitchen and library, Kaito sighed. Shinichi always wakes up earlier than Kaito but the problem was Shinichi didn't like to check his phone. Knowing Shinichi would spend his morning reading his novel on his bed, Kaito went to Shinichi's room. He frowned when he found Shinichi was still sleeping on his bed. Shinichi wasn't wearing his pyjamas anymore but why was he sleeping?

The nearer he got to Shinichi, the better he could see the detective condition. He was shivering and sweating hard. Kaito frowned and touched Shinichi's forehead.

"He's burning up!"

Kaito hurriedly find a bowl of water and a cloth in the kitchen. He put the cloth into the water and rinsed it and tried to put it on Shinichi's forehead and that was when Shinichi started to open his eyes. He blinked for a while, trying to adjust his sight. He turned to his magician boyfriend, feeling confused. His eyes were hazy.

"Kaito? What are you doing here?"

He sit up while took off the cloth and Kaito helped him.

"Ran-san and Haibara aren't here today so i thought I could see you earlier than usual.... Then, I found you here, burning up because of fever."

Shinichi nodded. His head was throbbing.

"Oh... That's why I felt hot after the bath and ended up falling asleep again."

He laughed dryly. Kaito frowned but gave him the medicine and a glass of water to Shinichi.

"Yeah. Now eat this and then, lie down and rest. I'm going to make something for you."

Mom, where is Dad?

Yuusaku is having another meeting with his editors.

I see.

Shinichi, can you take care of yourself.

Where are you going?

I have to see my old director. He asked me to teach some new actors for a while so, can you take care of yourself?

Of course, Mom.

We're sorry for leaving you alone when you're sick again.

It's okay. I'll be fine, Mom. I'm not a little kid anymore.

Shinichi took it and Kaito helped lying Shinichi back after he was done. He covered his detective with the blanket and put back the cloth on Shinichi's forehead. He stood up and walked towards the door just to hear a thump from behind.

"Shinichi!"

He turned back to see Shinichi was lying on the floor. Shinichi slowly sit up while staring at the floor.

"Oi what are you doing? I told you to lie down, right?"

Worried, Kaito hurriedly went to Shinichi side. He tried to pick the cloth that had fallen off Shinich's forehead but Shinichi grabbed his wrist. He was gripping the magician's wrist hard.
