Revenge 1

Kaito was entering Kudo manor and searching for his lover inside. He didn't take long since he knew his lover would always be in the library. Opening the library door and saw his lover on the chair, reading his favourite Sherlock Holmes book.

"Shinichi~~~"

He called his lover. Shinichi who turned his head to see Kaito after hearing his name, smiled warmly.

"Welcome back, Kaito"

The heist was a success but Kaito was disappointed. The jewel wasn't pandora. Again. Then, he turned to his back to see his little critic who had slammed the door open.

"Hey, Meitantei. Nice to see you again."

Shinichi who was still in Conan body looked annoyed with the thief. He let a huff and started to walk towards Kaito

"Right right. Now let's get this over with. That's not-"

Shinichi stopped after his sensed danger surrounded him. He looked around with panic face. Kaito frowned.

"Meitantei? Ar-"

Shinichi pushed Kaito aside and suddely a bullet hit Shinichi's right leg. He winced and Kaito was shocked.

"Meitantei!"

Kaito shouted when Shinichi fall on his chest. He tried to stand with his injured leg.

"Sh-shut up and stand up. We-we need to hide."

Without waiting, Shinichi pulled Kaito and run towards the door. Another bullet hit but missed them. Shinichi gritted his teeth, feeling the pain. Pulling Kaito inside and closed the door. He turned to the thief and let out a sigh.

" A-at least we got to hide"

Shinichi said, panting hardly and fell.

Great! Why did I run just now?

Kaito who was still in shock, pulled out a long handkerchief from his pocket and Tied it on Shinichi's wound. While doing so, Shinichi could feel Kaito's shaky breath.

TCH! The bullet when through and he also ran just now. The blood can't stop flowing too!

"T-thank you"

"I'm sorry"

"N-no worries. Then, h-how are you going to fly when the sniper is waiting for you?"

Kaito gritted his teeth when hearing the other asked which sounded like a whisper. He shook his head and pulled out another handkerchief. Put it on Shinichi's nose and mouth.

What the- Chloroform!

He tried to resist but failed and fell asleep. Seeing the little detective slept, Kaito changed to his task force uniform. He carried Shinichi on his back and run down the stairs while calling Jii, asked him to wait for him outside the building. Feeling glad that the task force was still chasing his dummy, he glanced to Shinichi's leg which had blood flowed out the handkerchief. His eyes went wide and ran faster.

Hold on, Meitantei!

Opening his eyes to see a ceiling that he recognised.

Why am I in KID's house? Oh Right! KID put chloroform on me!

Trying to sit and winced a bit remembered that he got shot yesterday, he saw a messy haired boy beside him.

Wow! Showing me your true face huh, KID?

Shinichi try to wake him up but

"Don't.... Let him go..."

Shinichi heard the thief and he just realised that the thief's body was shaking. He was crying.

Nightmare?

He wondered. Not sure what to do, he put his on Kaito's back and pat. The thief flinched and woke up. He rubbed his eyes and stared Shinichi.

"Meitantei? When did you?"

"Just now?"

Oh.

Shinichi shrugged and Kaito tried to look away.

"So, what's the dream about?"

Kaito silenced and Shinichi just stared at him.

"Tell me. I won't look down on you. I promise"

Kaito sighed.

"Well some bad guys caught you and somehow... tried to kill you?"

Kaito rubbed his head and glanced a bit to see Shinichi's face. His face was calm. A deep silence echoed in the room until Shinichi wanted to ask something but his throat felt dry. Kaito then gave him a cup of water to Shinichi. He drunk the water down and cleared his throat.

"Who are they?"

"Why should I tell you?"

Kaito answered immediately and stared at Shinichi with serious face.

"First, I got shot thanks to them. Second, I know your face now."

"What do you mean?"

Kaito rised up his eyebrow.

"Don't joke around. I know you have messy hair and indigo eyes. Third, I know your identity, Kuroba Kaito-kun"

He flinched and Shinichi smirked.

How did he-

"You didn't deny it moreover you flinched. How? You can thanks Hakuba-san for that. He kept mumbling about you being KID"

Kaito let a fake laugh and Shinichi glared at him.

"You don't have evidence"

"I did. You might not notice but I've stalked you before. I also broke in inside your house and do you want to know what I found?"

Kaito was shocked hearing the detective words.

"You did what?"

Shinichi shrugged and smirked again.

"Don't worry. I won't tell anyone except Haibara and Hakase since they helped me to search for the evidence and stuff"

"I don't believe you"

"Then, why did you show me your face"

Kaito fell silence. He didn't know what to say.

"Let me help you, KID"

He also has someone tailing him. Why does he-

"I don't know what are you thinking but if they're dangerous like my organisation, you shouldn't fight them alone."

Kaito scanned Shinichi's face and gritted his teeth.

He's serious.

That face which Kaito had seen many times before. The face that wanted an answer. Kaito  just gave up.

"Ok I'll tell you a story before that. The reason I became Kaitou KID, so listen carefully"
