It was a nice day. Shinichi was currently in front of Ekoda High to meet his new friend. Or best friend. Searching any mystery online stories to read while waiting for-

"Shinichi!!! "

A messy haired boy running towards him while waving his hands. He hugged Shinichi and that made Shinichi's heart stopped for a moment.

"K-kaito. Let me go, idiot or people will get wrong idea!"

Kaito backed off and smile widely watching Shinichi letting a huff with a red face.

How they met? Well it started in a cafe. Shinichi was sitting and waiting for his coffee. He sipped his coffee when it's arrived but
He spurted it out. It was awfully sweet. Suddenly, he saw the man beside him spurted it out too

"This is not hot chocolate this is coffee urghhh it's so bitter how can anyone drink this"

Shinichi was surprised and annoyed because

How dare he insult my lovely coffee.

Somehow, that person sweatdropped when he saw Shinichi staring at him.

"Say have we met before? "

Shinichi knew they've met before. He's kaitou kid. That indigo eyes. That messy hair. He knew them since he'd watched Kaitou Kid near enough to detect minor details of his features. Well Shinichi's not in heist now so he let KID free. Besides, he wanted to solve KID's mystery himself and not by coincidence until

"Kuroba Kaito. An extraordinaire magician"

The boy was sitting in front of him and poofed a blue rose from who knew where it from

Shinichi took it with a slight blush on his face and Kaito amused.

"Thank you. Kudo Shinichi. A detective. Nice to meet you, Kuroba-kun"

"Kaito is fine"

"Then called me Shinichi"

Kaito hummed and they ordered new drinks for themselves. They somehow talked about their life and sometimes about schools, about their friends and even their works. They didn't even notice how long had they been talking with each other until both of their phones rang. They asked each other their number before part ways. Before they knew, they became closer and closer when they met everytime.

So here they were, walking together at a park. He knew Kuroba Kaito was KID but he didn't want to tell Kaito he knew him because he wanted to know about Kuroba Kaito more.

Since Kaito didn't knew that Shinichi knew about his alter ego, he asked a question to his Meitantei.

"Shinichi, will you go to KID heist tonight"

Shinichi hummed and replied

"Will you go too?"

Kaito shook his head and Shinichi frowned.

God what's up with him frowning like that

"I've been thinking for a while. Why do you keep going to KID heist?"

And Shinichi stopped. Kaito turned his back when he saw the cowlick mumbling something

"What? "

"Because I don't want to miss his heist"

Silent passed by them

"Why"

Kaito asked softly

"Because I l-love him"

Shinichi stuttered and looked away. His face was red and after a while he turned to face Kaito who was in shocked

"What? Have a problem with that? "

Shinichi gave a cold glared at Kaito and he didn't know how to react. The blush still there on Shinichi's face.

How can someone being so cute?!

His poker face was gone by now.

"N-no"

He turned his face away and Shinichi grabbed his hand

"Then let's get going"

"Y-yeah"

They started to walk again and somehow there's some distance between them. Kaito was humming cheerfully and Shinichi was trying to calm himself down

Meitantei loves me! That's mean I can confess to him tonight!

That was embarrassing. It was lucky that he don't know that I know he's KID. Or else...

Shinichi started to get redder and redder. He let out a sighed after that and glanced at Kaito. The indigo eyes met the azure eyes. They keep staring at each other and let out a chuckle at the same time. Both of them laughed out their stomach for who knows whatever reason it is after that.
