It was the first day school for Shinichi after he had his body back. He was glad when Ran was still treating him like she always did despite their broke up. He also glad when Sonoko didn't glare daggers at him.

He had told Ran the truth. He also told Sonoko as she was his besties too, though he knew he didn't need to say it.

Both of the girls had been angry at first but they decided to forgive as they knew that Shinichi had suffered so much. After some talk, Ran and Shinichi decided to break up. Sonoko didn't like their decision but she agreed once they told both of them somehow, had a new person that they wanted to share their life together.

"It is Kaitou Kid, isn't it?"

He had blushed furiously when Sonoko said it. Ran had rolled his eyes and said he had been obvious. All those notes and heists. Ran had said how excited he had been when he was solving them and chasing KID. Sonoko just nodded and grinned.

"But is it okay?"

Shinichi whispered and that dropped both Ran's and Sonoko's amusement. They stared at Shinichi feeling confused.

"He's a boy."

They blinked and laughed at Shinichi. He couldn't helped but startled.

"Of course it is."

"Yeah, Shinichi. Me too. I like Sera and all of us know she's a girl, right?"

Long to short, Shinichi was glad he had them in his life.

He was suprised when he saw someone was waiting for him at school gate.

"Kuroba Kaito, nice to meet you!"

Ran and Sonoko blinked together and stared at the strangers who was holding three yellow roses while Shinichi's eyes widened.

"I've been waiting for you, Shinichi."

K-KID! What's he doing here???

Sonoko and Ran laughed when Shinichi's face became red. By that, they knew who the stranger was. They took the roses and Sonoko looked at Ran. Both of them suddenly apologised and left those two young men. Shinichi cursed them in his heart and looked back at the magician. The magician was wearing a bright smile and he hummed at Shinichi. Shinichi could felt his heart beating fast.

"T-thank you, Kuroba-kun."

He said it while twirled the yellow rose. Suddenly, Kaito grabbed his wrist and dragged Shinichi.

"Kaito is fine."

Shinichi could felt his heart was going out from his chest as the magician grinned at him.

They stopped at the nearest cafe.

"Why did you show yourself?"

"Because I've been waiting for this day to be friend with you. "

Shinichi just scoffed and ignored how his heart sank at the word 'friend'.
