Feyre's POV

I was in no mood to go to the Calanmai festival in the Spring Court and my family knew this but I didn't really have a choice. You don't have to go, I can go just fine by myself. Her mate said into her mind. All the other High Lords and Ladies are going, if I don't it will look weak. She responded, as she walked down to the entrance hall of her river house, where she and the others will winnow from. Elain and Nesta will stay behind with Nyx who is now 16.

As she walked down she heard Nesta and Cassian bickering over something stupid no doubt, their argument stopping however as she walked in. You look lovely tonight, Feyre darling. She responded by sending a wave of love his way. "You all ready to go" I said, to which Rhys oppened his mouth to respond but was interrupted by  Cassian "Almost we were just waiting on you to place our bets" At that I snorted, of course they've got a bet going. Cassian continued "Ten coins says Autumn starts the first fight" "Fifteen, and it's Tamlin" Az added. Mor grinned and added "20 and I say, Beron and Tamlin fight each other, then Thesan will try to intervene to keep the peace only to be completely ignored" "I'm with Mor" Amren said. Rhys agreed with Azriel. Nesta agreed with Cassian. They all turned to look at me expectantly. I sighed and said "25 and either Spring or Autumn throws an insult our way and one of us gets up to defend the others and starts the fight". With that Mor grabbed Cassian and Rhys grabbed Amren and we winnowed to the spring court.

As we walked up to the manor I couldn't help but notice how much the court around me had changed. The house itself was restored to its former glory. The garden was magnificent. It had all kinds of beautiful flowers, from alstroemerias, gardenias, peonies, dahlies, marigolds, azaleas, and so many more. I could already see the painting in my mind 'The monster's garden'

There were servants bustling around the garden making last minute preparations for the Calanmai festival. As they neared the steps the grand doors opened, she was expecting a servant to greet them and bring them to a greeting hall to meet with all of the other High Lords, not Tamlin himself. He looked better than he did last time she saw him. He still looked awful mind you, just not as run down, not as sad and recked. He looked like he was getting better.

"Welcome Feyre and company" Tamlin said "It's a pleasure for you to join us, I wasn't sure if you would be coming" "Please, the pleasure is all ours'' Rhys said, not sounding too happy at all. Something feels wrong here I said into his mind I know, I feel it too, that strange otherworldly power. Let's just get on with this festival and we'll keep an eye on it. It could just be nothing to worry about. Her mate told her. The inside of the manor was repaired and if she was being honest, it was kind of nice. Nothing like Tarquin's or Thesan's palaces, but comfortable, homey even.

He brought us into a gathering hall where all the other High Lords and Ladies were gathered, Viviane had convinced (rather easily) Kallias to make her his equal, to make her High Lady. Mor waited about ten seconds before screaming like a child seeing a puppy before running to Viviane. I heard Rhys mutter "females" to Kallias. Which earned him glares from every female in our inner circle as well as one from Viviane.

Before any one of said females could attack Rhys for that little comment Tamlin tapped his glass and said "Now that everyone has arrived, I'd like to thank you all personally for joining us this evening. The festivities commence at 19:00. It is currently 18:00 and so you will have this next hour to freshen up in your rooms." As soon as he finished speaking there were servants coming out of seemingly nowhere and whisking groups off to their rooms.
