Despite the fact that the king-consort is holding a dagger at Beron's throat, a dagger I didn't even know he had, no one from Erilea seemed phased or worried at all as if everything was under control and this was a normal occurrence. I however, and those from Prythian were most definitely not calm, and un phased. No, we were all standing with weapons drawn and magic at the ready. What the hell is happening, Rhys? I can't move, can any of you? I said to the court of dreams mind to mind. No I can't, though I think the king got tired of Beron's bullshit. Mor said. I don't think any of us can move. Amren answered.

"You can't do anything to him. He's under the protection of the Queen." Haco said.

"He lost the privilege to Aelin's protection when he insulted her. And there's no chance he's getting any protection from me. So, Ansel, Manon either one of you feel like protecting him? .... No, ok. Looks like he's on his for this one." The one I believe is Sellene said. The king-consort smiled as he let go of Beron's tongue and Beron sneered: "I don't take orders from the likes of her." The king-consort teased "Wrong again buddy." before cutting off Beron's tongue, releasing him and sitting back down beside his wife as if nothing happened. Then I regained control of my body and sat down with the rest. But not before Aurelius asked "Are you at least going to let my father see a healer."

"Your father is going to be fine. But not even the best healer will be able to reattach his tongue, if that's what you want. I'm a healer, I'm right here, and I say he's going to be fine." The woman named Yrene said.

"Welp. That was entertaining. I wish I could stay and talk more but I unfortunately have a meeting that I must attend. Oh, by the way if you are going to speak mind to mind, make it less obvious. And to answer your question none of you could move while my dear mate took care of the poor High Lord Beron, and that is simply because Dorian used his invisible hand magic to keep you all immobilized. Oh come on, stop looking so shocked. And please call us by our names, not our titles. I'll see you guys in the training room at noon before the first of the Curaidh Ludos begins. And you all are welcome to join us." Aelin said before kissing her mate and walking out of the dinning hall.

"How did she know we were speaking mind to mind?" I asked my mate "Beats me, though Evangeline did say that Aelin knows everything." Rhys said back to me.
