Feyre's POV

I had stopped listening to Gabriel, well I was semi-listening to him, my focus was on the paintings around the room, they were portraits. Fourteen portraits, all of beautiful women, hung on the right wall, and one giant one of all the women on the left, it was named 'The Fourteen'. With a painting named 'The Green-Eyed Demon Twins' depicting two women with green eyes on it's right. And on its left was named 'Thea and Kaya, The inseparable lovers'.

One was of a woman with moon-white hair and golden eyes. She wore a blood red cloak and stood in front of a giant beast. She was such an ethereal beauty. If I didn't know she was Manon Crochan-Blackbeak, Queen of The witches I would have thought her a goddess, a goddess of death, she had a look in her eyes, a look not of my world, neither good nor bad, but terrifying nonetheless. She looked cold, like ice. 'The White Demon' the piece was created by an artist named Arlen Amantra.

One over was of a woman with golden-tan skin, blonde hair and gold-flecked black eyes, behind her stood a sky-blue wyvern mare. Cunning and intelligence in the eyes of the beast. The woman looked wild, a wildness that comes with youth, one Aelin is said to have, she reminded me of fire.'Asterin, The second' the piece was called, by the same artist, actually all of the paintings are by the same artist.

Next was one of a woman with tan skin, dark brown hair and gold-flecked black eyes, behind her stood a storm cloud gray wyvern. This woman looked solid, wise, grounded, she looked like stone, perfect to even out ice and fire. Though she was not as beautiful as some of the other witches she was still rather pretty. This piece was called 'Sorrel, The Third'.

To its left was one of a pale, red-haired woman with gold-flecked black eyes. Behind her stood a black wyvern. The woman seemed light-hearted and fun, flirtatious even. 'Vesta, The Fourth' it was named. I noticed Helion looking at the painting too, I supposed that's an effect she must have on males in general.

Next to it was 'Faline, The Fifth' it depicted a woman who looked cruel and ruthless, but brave and loyal at the same time, she was one of the only ones who smiled in their paintings. Her smile was one not of beauty but rather one that would creep into your mind, it would wake you in the dead of night and haunt your dreams. She had midnight black hair and green eyes, and was flanked by a wyvern.

On its left was one of a woman who looked identical to Faline, she looked like she could be her twin. She shared the same look of cruelty, and ruthlessness, as Faline. And was also flanked by a wyvern. 'Faline, The Sixth' it was named.

'Edda, The Seventh' hung next. It was of a woman with brown eyes, and white hair though the ends held the remnants of black dye. She seemed to fade into shadows, the same way Azriel often did. She looked quiet, rather mysterious, and intriguing.

Beside, was 'Briar, The Eight', she had hair similar to Edda's, and blue eyes. She had the same  look, held the same mystery, the same intrigue as Edda. they were so similar they could have been related, sisters or cousins maybe. The two paintings held one major contrast though, Briar stood in front of an onyx wyvern, one that would blend in perfectly with shadows I realized. While Edda's was sky blue, a wyvern that could blend into the daytime sky.

On it's left hung 'Thea, The Ninth' it depicted a woman with pale skin, brown eyes, and light blonde hair. She had a look of fierceness, of fearlessness, and of loyalty in her eyes, but she also looked like she felt something deeper, something like love.

Next to hers was named 'Kaya, The Tenth' she was tan, with blue eyes and auburn hair. She has the same look in her as Thea, a look only they have. She seems just as loyal, and fierce as the other. She just as all the others stood before a wyvern.
