Thanks for reading!!  Love you guys to death! And when you come back as a walker! ('Cept I'd kill you) ~kristy.

I woke up that morning actually refreshed. My throat wasn't scratchy and I was breathing, so that was a good sign. I smiled to myself stretching out my body. Mostly everyone was awake now, Sasha and Carl were absent from the group.

"Rick?" I asked him, he was stomping out the fire.

"Hm?" He replied, shoveling dirt onto the hole with his combat boots.

"How long does it take for a poison to kick in?" He abruptly stopped in his tracks.

"Why?" He asks, turning to face me, staring me down.

"I-I was just wondering." I stammered, staring down at my feet.

Honestly Rick frightened me more than anyone else I knew, I thought that what I did was good, but now I was regretting it.

"I mean if Eugene drunk the water wouldn't he have gotten sick already?"

I asked, making a quick cover up.

"Yeah." He said, "I guess he would have."

He turned, and I tried to walk away but he grabbed a hold of my arm, "Beth."

I looked him surprised, "that doesn't mean that none of the water is poisoned, could just be a few bottles." I looked at him and nodded. Pulling my arm away.

"I drank from all of them, and I'm fine." I tell him point blank, it would be no use if the group couldn't have water.

"Why would you do that? Do you have a death wish?" He says between clenched teeth, his eyes narrowing as he took a step closer to me.

"No, we need water, Judith needs it, I was willing to take the chance." I try to explain my water but it just seems to infuriate him more.

"What if it wasn't a chance I was-" he quickly changes to "Maggie was willing to take? Think about something other than trying to prove yourself."  His words sting a little, but I feel forgiven when he takes me into a hug, squeezing me tightly and kissing the top of my head.

Rick spoke about how we would take the water, he never explained why and how we were almost there. Everyone just stared at him groggily, while it thundered over head.

Then like magic, rain drops started pelting the ground. At first just a few drops but soon it was pouring.

I watched as Rick smiled in happiness, Abraham and Eugene pull out empty bottles to fill. Tara and Rosita laid down on the wet pavement, letting the rain soak in their clothes. Carl placed his sheriff's hat over Judith as she started to whine from the rain. Sasha just stared straight ahead, and Gabriel pleaded for the forgiveness of God.

The wind started to pick up and I just let it all in, the wind whipped my hair around my face. The trees swayed forcefully and lightning struck, causing Judith to squeal.

"There's a barn." Daryl yelled to the group over the wind.

He lead the group as we all disappeared into the dark unpredictable forest.
