Friend of the Dixons is a book that I hold very dearly to my heart, and you all have no idea how happy it makes me for you all to just open my book. This book is all about the growing bond that transpires in this book between the sensitive teenager, Taylor, and the hotheaded Dixon, Daryl. Their bond is inspired by the wonderful game, The Last of Us. I would like to inform you all that this book is a hardcore slow-burn, as it takes a very long time over the seasons for Taylor and Daryl to truly warm up to one another. I do hope though that it will all be worth the wait, and without further ado, I hope you all enjoy Friend of the Dixons.

-Most of all, this book is dedicated to my Grandmother and Aunt. During the summer of 2023, I lost my Grandmother due to declined health conditions, and following close behind her at the end of 2023, I lost my Aunt due to her cancer coming back. For a while, I felt almost lost. I held so much regret of not doing enough for them, and hating the fact that so many words were left unsaid. I know they'd want me to be strong, though. They wouldn't want me to look back with sadness and regret. They'd want me to keep my head held high and smile at all of our memories we made together. They are the reason I'm returning to this book stronger than before. Their deaths have taught me so much about life and how important it is to savor every moment with loved ones. So, this book is dedicated to them, for their endless amounts of love and always encouraging me to chase my book-writing and acting dreams. Words aren't enough to express how much I love them.-
